Best Hooks that Catch Catfish

I like the video now maybe this will help me catch my first channel catfish. I did catch a brown bullhead today but that probably has to be the biggest cat I ever caught.

What you think about offset worm hooks? I find them to be pretty good if you want to set the hook yourself.

From what I have read on various forums people usually go with 8/0 Gamakatsu circle hooks. They have a thick shank on them. There was a bad batch awhile back that was breaking. I did find for sale at Bass Pro packs of 20 Mustad circle hooks around the catfish section for about $8 (4/0). That's the cost of 6 Gamakatsu hooks! I use them for channel catfish. I've had good luck with Team Catfish double action hooks although I don't like the red paint which comes off to easy. Last night I caught a 20 lb Blue on one! Didn't get it on video though.

you should check out eBay for hooks, weights, bells, snap swivels, and barrel swivels you can buy large quantities for cheap. I bought 100 5/0 octopus circle hooks for $8 with free shipping. I bought 100 1 Oz no roll sinkers for $16 free shipping. I bought 100 snap swivels for $4 free shipping. and I bought 50 meters of 100lb braided line for $7 free shipping. so if you into saving money for quality products I would check em out. it may come from China but it's well worth the 1-2 week wait.

Offset hooks have a greater chance of gut hooking. I use inline circle hooks for tube fly fishing. I have used gamakatsu but might try mustad as they have a great line of circles.

how much time should i leave the circle hook being taken by the ctfish because they work awesome on floats but when i leave the catfish on circle hook it randomly spits the hook with out hoking and i dint even set it

Did they not have CatMax circle hooks at you're BASS PRO? they are a really good hooks for the price have had  lots of success with them. They are bass pro brand.

i do have a question about circle hooks. so im learning to catch catfish with circle hooks while bank fishing im just not sure how to set my pole up and my drag after i throw my bait in the water. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

My favorite hook for catfish is the eagle Claw lazor sharp red number 4 treble hook because I mostly use punch bait for catfish because I like to keep every legal fish I catch so most the time gut hooking a fish isn't as much of a issue for me .

You can catch catfish with chicken bones lol😂

I've been using treble hooks with dough bait, but I release all my fish and sometimes they swallow the hook, so i have to cut the line. i think they'd have a better survival rate if i used single hooks. Is there a good way to keep dough bait on a single hook?
