Day 2 of The FTC vs Microsoft Trial Was Huge for Xbox

I’m shocked that the government feels the need to force a private company, which is in last place in its industry, to swear that they well share their intellectual property with their direct competitor.

Jim and Himself talked this over months before the trial,
the email clearly shows Jim Ryan (CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment) saying he knows Phil will not make C.O.D. an xbox exclusive.

Honestly I look back at that quote and laugh saying "He wasn't wrong".

Are you people new? Microsoft has been under regulators watch for decades because of their monopolistic practices. You think this is new? They are now a multi trillion dollar company that can basically take over any industry they want and you guys are equivocating about this with no clue?

You want a multi trillion dollar company to have the power to gobble up 100 billion companies at any given time in any sector they want to not only compete in but completely absorb and create a perfect monopoly? They don't do R&D they just spend their money to ensure they have monopoly in whatever sector they're competing in and this is no different. To be crystal clear, there will be no ps6. And ps made less quality version for multiple games in the past. The recent one was callisto protocoll were several developer from Sony were sent to help on the ps5 version only. Fact. Another fact is that ps5 could never run starfield because the console already overheats at simple games like final fantasy 16. And starfield is developed over the cloud. So ps could never do that.

Microsoft isn’t gonna Leave any money on the table, let alone the amount of money that COD Makes, and the more platforms that COD is on, the more money Microsoft stands to earn. They will always make COD for PlayStation and SECURE THAT BAG.

It's interesting, this day was BAD for Microsoft.

This hearing isn't about demonizing Sony, it is about IF Microsoft would be conducting in an unfair manner, and Buying Bethesda as opposed it your know, outbidding Sony for Starfeild shows or evidence that Xbox Will buy to make something exclusive.

Spencer will not stop CoD going to PlayStation, but if a board of directors go over his head etc, well doesn't matter what he says under oath

It’s very common for lawyers to repeat questions and reword them in order to get a more complete answer. It also allows for the judge to spot bullshit a lot easier. Word play is a valid weapon in the courtroom.

MS has always had to fight stuff that others don’t. They had to pay a ton for bundling internet explorer. Apple Sony and Nintendo do anticompetitive stuff all the time but seem to get off free. It’s mind boggling.

At this point i can say America hates Microsoft..... Thier consumer products always gets dragged in the mud in America...i remember they had the phones.. Gets dragged... Makes x box... Gets dragged. Makes mp3 player.. Gets dragged.. i remember thier phone had wireless charging and dark screen mode..... Nobody cared.. Gets dragged.

We don’t care about cod remaining on PlayStation. But we do know is that if Microsoft buys Activision. It’ll be on gamepass day one😅 as long as PlayStation sign that 10 year contract

I’ve been saying this for the longest while. Sony has always been scummy for years, then they act like they’re victims. It’s also why I chose the Series X instead of PS5. I don’t like the way they do business.

The big thing about the Minecraft situation is when did Microsoft receive the PS5 Dev Kits or more importantly have they received the Dev Kits? It takes time to code for a new system, if they have only had the kits then it is not surprising that they are under the eight ball here.

Did anyone ever stop to think, the FTC, being "obligated" to defend anything unfair in the industry, no matter where the company is (Japan/US) , is just going through the motions to satiate Sony? I am sure the lawyers for FTC are not stupid, they see that Sony has been doing things that they now accuse Microsoft of doing, and calling it unfair. Sony is such a shady company that blocks content through under the table deals for exclusive games and early access content …. just to confirm further sales of the physical consoles YET! Microsoft is trying to expand the community being able to access content through pc and Nintendo in turn making more money for the company
