Ответитьhello. i absolutely loved this and your other videos. would you ever consider doing an update for unreal 5.0+, also demonstrating techniques for comparing realtime to pathtracing like you mentioned, and perhaps adjusting realtime to better resemble the pathtracing. would love to see your process there.

One question, for some reason, in Lit mode I am not able to preview the model with the HDRI Backdrop. It all appears black with the visible HDRI backdrop. When I switch to Path Tracing the model is well-lit. What am I doing wrong?

ОтветитьHi! I'm having trouble with path tracing, or maybe I don't understand how it works.
When enabled my textures look blurry or kinda smudged, I'd love to send comparison photos, as I can see it shouldn't be a problem on the pictures around minutes 7-8.
I followed all the steps you do and I've been playing around with values, but they honestly don't make a change. 500 samples denoised won't make a difference, and my computer specs shouldn't be a problem either: 11th gen i7 intel core, 64gb ram, rtx 3080.
I really need help, please.

ОтветитьHey Will! Not sure if this question will be read by you but I need aome help here. Im using UE5.1 and when I use the pathtracer, my sky atmosphere wont render! No clue why that is. I have everything on realtime capture. The weird thing is that it was working perfectly a few hours ago and now, all of a sudden, it isnt. It just renders black.
Here's a kicker, it renders perfectly through my window materials but not otherwise
The main problem is how slow it is. Even on a 3090ti it absolutely CRAWLS.

One question about path tracing, but how do we allow wind effects for mega scan trees and plants via the foliage painter when path tracing is enabled.
I had to disable nanite for placed static mesh trees/plants before wind effect on PP trees ‘worked’.
There is a console command for WPO but that didn’t seem to work. Thankyou so much in advance for your (or anyone’s) help!

I get always strange Blurry Parts on Glasmaterial on my Automotive Rendering, it looks like there is a Mask on it because there are only som parts blurry.

The renderings you show on the channel look super crisp I just can seem to get that in a still rendering that is 5k. Thanks look forward to hearing form you or anyone who could help

ОтветитьThanks for making this video. I was using way too many AA samples. Now I never go above 16 and with the Post-Processing PT settings, I get amazing renders ~25 seconds per frame.

ОтветитьHI William, well before 5.3 it worked fine.. now i got finish ajon NOW..and i disable the denoiser..and yeah the noise stays when its finished....ochhh no clue

ОтветитьHey! I came across this video and on the limitations I wanted to ask you, is VAT something that would work with path tracer on 5.3 at the moment?
I am trying to use it with a simulation from Houdini and I run accross problems with the lights when using path tracing on VAT (the faces on the geo are not correctly lit, they appear black, even if the shadows against other objects look good)

ОтветитьGreat tutorial, but I could use some help from your audience. When I set up a sequencer timeline and drop a camera on the sequencer, when I look through the camera in pathtracing mode, I cannot see the clouds. I went to the details panel in the camera settings and enabled the pathtracing settings but still no luck when looking through the camera. In the default Viewport, Pathtracing works fine just like in this tutorial. Any suggestions would be great, thank you all!!!

For rendering still images in say Movie Render Que.
My computer does not have an RTX card, so cannot produce PathTracing in real time. But, I would love to render the final shot in maximum quality, regardless of the render time
