All are created equal.
ОтветитьBeginning equal is irrelevant. No one wants to live equal, but better. To whom much is given, much is required. Inequality is not evil, it is inevitable. Our responsibility as children of God is to Honor and Respect each other without fail, through every experience, however unequal.
Ответить💜FREEDOM🌍🇨🇦🌎
ОтветитьYup yup 👍
Ответить"You will never know how much it has cost my generation , to preserve your freedom. I hope you make good use of it." Excellent words. It frightens me how much--or rather, how little--today's citizens regard the word "freedom". The Canadian government (via the CBC) actually put out a statement that included the words "The word freedom has become has become common among far right groups" or some such nonsense, as if freedom is ONLY important to them. How could someone regard the word "freedom" as a negative thing--yet I see this type of attitude more and more even here in America. Our own intelligence groups have added "Constitutionalists" to their list of extremists. It appears these videos about the Founding Fathers, and why they designed things the way they did, is sorely needed. Thank you.

ОтветитьIf you want to know where our freedoms come from, study John Calvin and John Knox if you want to know where the constitution comes from. It's based on protestant calvanist resistance theology. Not philosophy
ОтветитьThis series is good as far as it goes so far. But, if you are not going to include the importance of the Judeo-Christian morals, ethics and values that were shared by the vast majority of the population at the time and which are the foundational underpinning of the government the founders crafted, then you will be leaving out the most important part.
"From John Adams to Massachusetts Militia, 11 October 1798
To the Officers of the <third> first Brigade of the third Division of the Militia of Massachusetts
Quincy October 11. 1798Gentlemen
I have received from Major General Hull and Brigadier General Walker your unanimous Address from Lexington, animated with a martial Spirit and expressed with a military Dignity, becoming your Characters and the <Place> memorable Plains, in which it was adopted.
While our Country remains untainted with the Principles and manners, which are now producing desolation in so many Parts of the World: while she continues Sincere and incapable of insidious and impious Policy: We shall have the Strongest Reason to rejoice in the local destination assigned Us by Providence. But should the People of America, once become capable of that deep <[. . .]> simulation towards one another and towards foreign nations, which assumes the Language of Justice and moderation while it is practicing Iniquity and Extravagance; and displays in the most captivating manner the charming Pictures of Candour frankness & sincerity while it is rioting in rapine and Insolence: this Country will be the most miserable Habitation in the World. Because We have no Government armed with Power capable of contending with human Passions unbridled
by <[. . .]> morality and Religion. Avarice, Ambition <and> Revenge or Galantry, would break the strongest Cords of our Constitution as a Whale goes through a Net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other
An Address so unanimous and firm from the officers commanding two thousand Eight hundred Men, consisting of such substantial Citizens as are able and willing at their own Expence, compleatly to arm, And cloath themselves in handsome Uniforms does honor to that Division of the Militia which has done so much honor to their Country. Oaths, in this Country, are as yet universally considered as Sacred Obligations. That which you have taken and so solemnly repeated on that venerable Spot is an ample Pledge of your sincerity, and devotion to your Country and its Government.
John Adams"
Speaking of Factions/Tribalism. This is something I posted in Sept. 2020
Culturally, Politically seeing less & less room for live and let live...lose today, there another battle tomorrow.
The tribes are sorting themselves out. The Tribes are not Left/Right, Rich/Poor/Republican/Democrat, Minority/Majority, Religious/Non-Religous.
*Not sure how to describe Our Side from Their Side, but of this I am sure there are US & THEM. I am fairly sure who is an US and who is a THEM.
The way I have been looking at politics/culture may not be valid anymore, or are becoming Less Valid.
One Mans opinion freely given and worth ALMOST that much.
Excellent presentation
ОтветитьThis was a great condensed video!
ОтветитьEVERY GENERATION HAS TO BE EDUCATED IN ORDER TO PRESERVE IT.
Ответить...and then the cronyism started immediately and the federal government grew into the Leviathan that we see today where the President is like a King and courts frequently rubber-stamp actions even if they have no constitutional basis. It was a nice try.
ОтветитьMuch of the work of the Constitutional Convention was mere window dressing to conceal it's real purpose, which was to establish a strong central government with legal authority to provide repayment of loans made to the Americans by British financiers, principally those who were also stockholders of the Bank of England.
The new gov. was also commissioned to insist upon the repayment of mortgages to British lenders , which the post revolution courts notably led by George Wythe, a drafter of the Constitution, and called the father of our legal system, duly demanded from the deptors.
On July 9, 1778, meeting in Philadelphia Congress had approved the Articles of Confederation (written by Alexander Hamilton a member of the chosen tribe) which then became the ruling body of law for the young Nation.
These Articles established the principles of States' Rights, and effectively ruled out the possibility of a strong central gov., a federal power.
When the Constitutional Convention met in Philadelphia on May 27, 1787, its secret agenda was to emasculate the Articles of Confederation, and to authorize the establishment of a strong federal gov..
The delegate who was entrusted with the task of carrying out this secret mission was Edmund Randolph (he was a chosenite).

ОтветитьWe still have one? could have fooled me.
ОтветитьCongress shall make no law abridging freedom of religion unless someone you know has violated laws made by congress.
- even if it was years before you ever knew them.
