The trust and love, the elephants have for Lek, and Derek is so wonderful and amazing to see. Elephants are so magnificent and have hearts that accept and love in such a beautiful way. And thinking of the ways they are mistreated by humans is so disheartening. We don’t deserve these magnificent animals. They have so much to teach us if we only would listen.🐘💖

When I was a child in the 60's we went to the circus Ringling Brothers and Barnum Baily. I believe there were 10 Asian elephants and one trainer in the center ring with dresses up ladies being lifted and swung around. I can now see what it must have been like for the trainers and the effort it took to make these sweet creatures endure traveling and preforming across America , while still managing to retaining their love and trust. I remember there was just one elephant especially close to the trainer that.led the rest into all the routines and .this same elephant held her/his foot over the trainer's stretched out body.
