Nier is a so sad and epic game,it's one of those post apocalyptic stories that we all have seen and so desire,I mean the world was going to end someday by any means and there is nothing you can do to stop it!

If I may... I feel like this video supposes that the viewer knows what games exist in the Nier universe, and that they kinda know the general backstory, and this is just collating all the details for the viewer. That’s cool, but I know nothing about any of this. I’m just playing Nier Automata for the first time — that’s all I know. And I’m not done with it. So now I’m kinda more confused lol. How many games are there in this series? I legit thought there was just some original game, which is what I thought Nier Replicant was a remake of, and then Nier Automata.
How much am I missing here? Do all these stories tie in (or even exist on the same timeline)? Could someone point me toward smtn that gives me all the backstory I need to know up to Automata, but like, for an ABSOLUTE noob? Cuz I’m not even really understanding what this (otherwise excellent) video is trying to tell me. I don’t know what “Gestalt” is, or a “replicant,” or many other terms used here.

I can't get over how outstanding NeiR Replicant and NeiR Automata are. The story, the music, the voice overs are all so bloody amazing. The atmosphere is top notch. The story is really depressing and very sad. Seeing the world just slowly wind down. Life disappearing. I noticed at the beginning of Replicant where there were loads of animals, but when an adult, there are only a few left. I'd wish the ps2 games were all given remasters and sold on one disk. I have to come here to get the full story since I never played the ps2 games. I don't think they were even available in Ireland. Still, thanks for laying out the story.

I love the fact that your videos work for my short attention spans for game lore of games I haven't actually played.

I have a question why human lose to a group of monsters even when they have a technology and modern military and this just happened in Japan why the rest of the world collapse too? Yes i know it game plot but .The dev did they say anything about this? Can someone answer me?
