Ive created a specific reference audience and excluded some of the audience characteristics but i get messages and form submission from that kind of excluded audience...what im doing wrong?

This is not really a good thing, it potentially shows that Meta is going to start limiting organic performance of Facebook groups similar to how they do with pages.

At the Ads level it says:

"The selected Page does not meet the requirements to run promoted group ads. Please select another to continue."

What do i need to do to meet the requirements?

I have the feature. My biggest problem so far with it is that Facebook hasn’t dropped the ability to create audiences like people who have clicked the link but haven’t joined group. Only optimizing for link clicks brings down the effectiveness. Probably will have to retarget to make it effective.

Or Facebook could actually recommend your group when people search for groups. But Facebook is a greedy company that wants creators to pay for every eyeball that sees their stuff.

I tried running a Facebook ad and discovered that anything they deem a “SoCiaL iSsUe” can not be mentioned unless you dox yourself in your ad post. They also removed the ability to target people based on anything related to social issues. So if you’re selling a T-shirt about something they consider social issues, what’s the work around? Use Google ads instead?
