Qh5+ is the best response, followed by Bxb2, and white is in all kinds of trouble, this is much better than either Knight-check move. 😈

Is a tactic necessary here? Queen e6 threatens mate in one. If the queen takes the night the game is over.

Anyone looking at this video should watch the actual game. It shows what an amazing genius Carlsen is in the middle game and end game. You can't teach that. He's got a power that very few have. Go through the game move by move and you probably won't be able to figure what he is going to do next with most of his moves.

It also shows why, at the higher levels of play, openings aren't that important. A guy like Magnus just needs to get past the opening phase without making a blunder, and then he'll destroy you after that. That's why he uses so many unusual openings. He's showing the world that, to him, they really don't matter that much.

I play the Pirc and it's surprising the number of people who play the Fried Liver automatically without thinking and find themselves down a pawn and a knight after 4 moves.

Just why can't you take the name of the Indian GM? Have some respect for the nation that gave the world this game. I know bigotry runs in your DNA but this sucks even for white people

Sorry, but this is not the Fried Liver Attack. The Fried Liver Attack is a specific variation of the Two Knights Defence after d5; ed Nxd5, Nxf7!?, but Carlsen did not let white play the Fried Liver since he played Na5 instead.

This is just another variation in the Two Knights Defence.

For the quiz, I believe the correct move is Ne2+ and no matter what white plays, Qxc4 will win the queen since the d3 pawn is pinned to the king, it cannot take back

paulhan3314 is correct: The Fegatello Attack (aka "Fried Liver") occurs only when Black plays 5...Nxd5 and White responds with the sacrifice 6. Nxf7. All the moves you're showing in your video are simply variations of the main line of the Two Knights Defense starting with 5...Na5.

I think Qeen e7 is the best follow up. The best move white have is Queen e4. then black Queen takes Queen on e4 and pawn takes e4 and knight jumps to c6 with a doubble check from rook and knight. White King must go to d1 and rook take pawn on e4 with check. . As I see it black stands much better here and will win a piece or even checkmate the white King
