I advise anyone who is trying to do this with a galaxy s4 and the optimized lineage os 19.1 will fail. This corrupted my recovery menu and i had to use odin in order to get it up and running again.

Had a monkaS moment with adb spitting out 'adb: failed to read command: Success' (linux). I rebooted into recovery and reflashed the os and it failed (adb showd 'Total xfer: 1.00x' but phone had an error message prior to 2/2). Just sort of yolo'd it, installed mindthegapps and it ended up working fine. I bricked my previous phone so I was having flashbacks but it's all good. Thanks for holding my hand.

What is ADB? How do I pull that up on my PC? What is the Windows PowerShell window you are typing into? What the heck is Magisk and do I need it or not for this update? There are a lot of very important steps you skipped over, and not all of us a tech wizards to be able to fill in the gaps you didn't cover.
