Dr's DON't know jack about herbal healing. Anytime I have spoken to my dr about herbs for health, I have been poo poo'd.

Oh, didn't know to cut back my thyme. I have several varieties growing mainly as a ground cover amongst other perennial herbs and flowers to fill in blank spots.

I ran across you on Pinterest today looking at medicinal syrup recipes. I’m wondering if I can mix a tincture (made with alcohol) in with honey? Would it still need to be refrigerated and what would the ratio of tincture to honey be?

Medicinal herbs contain chemical compounds that can be harmful if not used properly. If you have not been trained by professionals, you really should back up from this subject. If you have some diploma, certification, or evidence of study, please present it for your own sake. If not, you run the risk of being sued for even using the term "medicinal".

Anyone taking anticoagulant medication (blood thinners) need to discuss with your doctor because the interaction can greatly alter the effect of your medication, which may be serious! example Chamomile ans Saw Plmetto, and Golden Seal, Ginger and Tumeric for example. Even Green teas should be used in moderaton with blood thinner medication. Be sure to ask your doctor or a licensed herbalist.

I have Rosemary Gladstone’s book and need to spend more time in it. This video is SO helpful. I’ve watched twice now and made a list of herbs from it (I had just 3). It’s helped me be motivated to find more space for herbs so the monkey grass on the south side of the patio is getting tossed and being replaced with as many as will fit there.
