For anyone watching this now, the hunter exploit doesnt work anymore. Hunters must rest after hunting, so if you try to put them to work somewhere else, you'll have low or no efficiency

finally bought the game a few days ago, finally beat this first scenario after 6 tries and starting over, 153 survivors
thanks for the tesla city tip, the description sjut said survivors on it so i thought it was just gonna be more people so i didnt go there
but also yeah the hunter things is patched out now

So far I’ve always used child workers law, but I do always also give them extra rations, I’m a monster but not a total monster lol, and yes they also do all dangerous jobs too, but since recently in my most successful city my 3rd city I’m phasing out all child workers so I have 70 unused child workers.

All living quarters should be in the first 2 inner circles and heated by the generator then working buildings have the steam hubs to keep them operating

Built a city on my religion, hope and industry and they dragged me at finale hour they gave up praying and hoping steamed me the it ended it funny because I then ended i became a martyr to there new cause because first but sun light hit me😂

I know that this is a really old video and I don't know if my comment will reach you but I have had to say thank you, been struggling on Frostpunk but each time I fail I tend to get more experience, the most struggle was keeping everyone warm which was my most part I been failing at, but thank you, you have given me more understanding and hopefully I will beat the game.

The hunting trick must have been patched out because if you try switching the hunters to other jobs during the day they won’t work and it will say they are “resting after the hunt” even at their new job.

I’m not sure though how long it will say that for as I haven’t tested it so they might o it rest like 5 hours or something and then be available to be switched I’m unsure

Having watched this video, I now realize that how I ran my first playthrough was insane. And having succeeded in said run is even more insane. I should have failed. But many hours of extremely tight timing, smart choices, and even some dumb luck helped push me through. I can't wait to stress myself out for hours all over again!

So I was thinking this is impossible and my coal thumper is awful... I'm almost dead... Then I find the full pile of coal next to it. :0

Aight so they patched steam hubs they dont heat up nearly as much as it said in video,hunters are useless unless you research hunting like a dumbass,hothouses are better but they cost steam cores

I finished in my first try, but it was a hell of a ride 😂. Destroy the houthouses in the cold week and use the cores for automatons or factories. I didn't discovered Tesla City.

I've never seen a game that would make a great tv adaptation then this game

I have been dying so much trying to meet the coal needs for my generator, i did not think to just keep it base and use the steam gens, I was using them in conjunction with the base

Just bought this game. I love games like these because it actually force you to think about how and where you are building. It forces you to use proper logistics and people management (With worker assignments and laws). In other words you don't simply plop building downs and which it your city grow. How you do one thing can impact everything else and can make or break the city.

The coal mine is important early on

i keep getting further and further in my playthroughs, but every single time, my coal storage capacity is reached, yet i am running out of coal very quickly. isn't that contradictory? i don't understand. what are the solutions to this?

3/10, game is cheap. It tries too hard to be realistic and fails miserably. Nothing makes sense in this game, such as the reasons why people revolt. The gameplay loop gets really old really quick. Im sick and tired of trying out a new strategy, only to end up dead. Its repetitive and boring, and requires you to get lucky, rather than make wise decisions. This game is a waste of money. DONT NOT BUY.
