"boss stance" is just your version of attack position, which you said was wrong, lol
Ответитьthat endo clip is at duomont in nanaimo 😅
ОтветитьMy friend who has been introducing me to this taught me to "lean back." About to teach him some things lolll
ОтветитьGreat thorough video that’s simple to follow. I suspect I have my legs bent too much, leading to lactic acid fatigue; I’m going to try keeping them only slightly bent and try locking them out from time to time for recovery!
ОтветитьThese videos have definitely helped me progress more in the last few years than I did in 25 years of riding. @tillthewheelscomeoff
ОтветитьLEAN BACK!!!1😝
ОтветитьGreat tips how to ride beter!
Ответить'Splains why I've lowsided on two berms recently. Front only grips what it digs into, regardless of how new and gnarly the tread is. That, and my 69° old-school rake angle has me a tad leery of twichiness.
You demonstrated a lot of centering technique on jumps and drops and rough stuff. Would have been nice to see a couple of berms demonstrated for the same reasons.
Lee likes bikes have this hip hinge theory and i think placing the chest close and over the bars that helped me distribute the weight better for more front wheel grip while cornering
ОтветитьNice work with this video.
I teach skiing and snowboarding and you described perfectly how we teach people proper riding position for those sports. "bent knees and ankles but not too bent" "be confident and don't end up in the 'backseat'." "move in and out of a centered stance and return to center." "There is no right stance"
Oh and I'm stealing "passenger mode" for skiing and snowboarding as well.
I'm just happy to stay on the bike ATM. I think I'm thinking a bit ahead of myself. Good video though!
ОтветитьLove how you went head first over those handbars just for demonstration’s sake 🤣
ОтветитьSo when do you need to shift weight to the front?
ОтветитьNo humility
ОтветитьI love the liberal use of physics diagrams in Ben's videos. It makes things so logical and easy to understand.
ОтветитьLovely stuff mate!
ОтветитьIt's funny to watch my xc teammates when they go downhill on tech. They are told to be in attack position so they just stay they and they don't move with their bike
ОтветитьBrown eye..?
ОтветитьGreat vid. I’m a roadie who keeps getting nagged by mates to ride trails, and I’m definitely in passenger mode as soon as it gets a bit tricky.
I’ll try and get more central now! 👍
i love this vid. the hilarious demonstrations reminds me very much how an anime on biking would look like.
ОтветитьLove the Scottish way of biking
ОтветитьNice topic and explanation..
ОтветитьI'm a victim of passenger mode. Stupid bike throw me off a bridge and in to a tree.
ОтветитьI like a periodically switch between the two poses in the thumbnail, typically switching as fast as possible
ОтветитьLol damn that last part about defensive mode is def me. I'm a few weeks into riding and I hang off the back of every moderate slope. I can tell though, I'm still learning to trust my bike so I approach things too slow and have to really lean back as I lay on the brakes. But I'm slowly getting that confidence as I learn how the bike (tires) grip
Ответить"I certainly can't because I don't have eyes on my butt."
chef's kiss
Remember when moutain biking involved a saddle and pedaling? I do.
ОтветитьBoss. These are surprisingly great and a helpful even for people who have been riding for a long time! Thanks!
ОтветитьAwesome! Thanks!
ОтветитьDang every time I watch ur vid I learn something I hv been doing wrong learning from friends. 😂
ОтветитьLess passenger, more boss !
Ответитьwait.. did you faceplant that drop just to make a point ?
ОтветитьI'm very surprised this video never mentions when the rider should just seat vs when he should stand up on the pedals. From the video it looks like you should always be standing up. Can you even pedal from the boss stance? Does all of this only apply to going downhill?. Very weird it is not mentioned at all.
ОтветитьFace down ass up that the way I like to .. Oh shit , no that’s what my girlfriend does .
ОтветитьBen you are a very funny and informative man! thank you!
ОтветитьIdk why this is what I chose to watch while on the magic mushies, but holy shit! Watching him do all the funny body positioning has been a hell of a time!
ОтветитьLoving the videos guys. Great technical content and loving the Cathro banter!
Ответитьsuper video ;)
ОтветитьI love this. Thanks Boss.
Ответить...............................................................VOLUME/mix --->
...............higher on the voice, please ................................lower on the speaker-blowing bass please!
Great video. Thank you. Worth watching multiple times to fully appreciate the valuable information. Keeping legs straight to relax really helped on my last ride.
