I have an easier approach from the 4 triangles sum.


Consider a horizontal line passing through the point of intersection of the four triangles divides the given rectangle into two smaller rectangles. Area of A1 = half the area of upper rectangle and likewise for A3.
Therefore total area of the bigger rectangle = 2A1+2A3.
Now, to find area of A4 we simply need to take away the area of the three triangles.
So, Area of A4 = 2A1+2A3-A1-A2-A3 = A1-A2+A3 = 1024-1016+1057 = 1065
