GREAT CHANNEL I' am good at circuit designing and also own a channel for how to design circuit, but everything in circuit designing was becoming to easy for me and i started feeling comfortable and wasn't happy with this state, so i decided to upgrade my level with embedded systems, but I was so afraid of programing, it felt like is never going to be my thing, so i was trapped in tutorials hell and everything became so overwhelming for me, so i didn't know which book to read everything became to difficult because i was just aiming for the best and easy programming language, but until i came to understand that i should just stick to one language, which i found was python and the foggy whether is becoming clear to me about programming and I'm believing i will still have to keep pushing.
Ответитьdoes linux is good for programing
ОтветитьI really can't disagree more about VIM key-bindings. They are truly esoteric.
Emacs bindings actually influenced all modern software. GNU readline shares some of the bindings (that includes most unix shells). GNU nano uses more basic Emacs bindings. Heck, many web browsers even have some limited support for emacs bindings like ^H for backspace, ^A for home, ^E for end, ^D for delete (forward), ^F to move forward, ^B to move backward.
Emacs may be modifier key heavy. That's part of the reason for the high adoption rate -- it doesn't interfere with normal input very easily.
thanks, that works :)
ОтветитьYoung devs dont know about hip flexor pain. Get out of the chair and keep your hips mobile or you wont even be able to sit down for an hour
Ответить+1 for strecthing
ОтветитьDo lots of it.
/thread
You just gave me an idea to make pomodoro timer in c++
ОтветитьI like how you are relatable and helpful.
ОтветитьI am planning to buy macbook for coding can you please tell pros and cons of using it
ОтветитьImagine that you are in the cording interview or sitting next to another developer and typing on his computer. If you are using standard shortcuts and your colleague is using them too, then there is no problem. But if you or your colleague use some special shortcut setting - it will be very painful. Even the different behaviour of the mouse is highly confusing.
ОтветитьI code on vim btw
ОтветитьSir, I appreciate your direct and simple content! No clickbait, just straightforward. My brain and ADHD thanks you for your hard work here!
ОтветитьGreat video. Also just a fun fact. Your productivity system is kind of what cal Newport does recommend too. Deep work doesn’t mean are sitting at one place for 4 hours continuously. It’s about focusing on a single problem for long periods.
Ответить"If you wanna do something you may as well enjoy it"
Ответитьbruv you earned yourself a new follower rn because your videos are the real comfort to me and I like them a lot cause it almost feels like that my inner calm cool and collected self is making videos for me thanks a ton and keep up the good work 🙏🏻❤️
Ответитьi love how every time someone mentions vim, they put theprimeagen's pic
ОтветитьPomodoro is a must for programming. Sometimes in the 5 minute breaks the solution for the problem I was facing in the last 25 minutes cicle just pops in my head, it's like giving your brain time to breathe. Good sleep is very important too, at least 7 hours.
Ответитьbig love for big box!
Ответитьcoding was always easy
ОтветитьBigbox === amazing
ОтветитьPeople have unified theme for editor and terminal. Personally, I differentiate them, easier for my mind
Ответитьdanny cameo is nice
ОтветитьI have started using NVim once I did dualboot in my laptop (using Windows because of uni projects + Linux Mint) and it's awesome just how not only it makes me get more in the zone because I never get my hands out of the keyboard, but also just how much more fun it makes everything be. I have some issues studying because I tend to lose focus quite easily (may be ADHD but I haven't been officially diagnosed lol) but whenever I have tried Pomodoro it has been quite useful, specially for programming-related tasks. Slowly but surely I'll try to integrate it into my life because it for real can be a game-changer if applies properly. Cheers bro!
Ответитьthere’s a guy on tiktok reposting ur videos and they lowkey getting views
ОтветитьI’m not sure you read comments, but if you do, is there a discord server and (I’m not sure if this is a good idea) make a video on how to effectively think about how to make projects in coding?
If this video has already been made, my apologies
This channel is amazing. Are you looking for anyone to help you with videos on YT or TikTok? I'm interested to help out. Do you have a email or discord where I can chat with you about this?
ОтветитьI never thought of the Pomodoro technique. I have a hard time taking breaks. I would a lot of time studying and coding that I would forget to take breaks. By the time I get tired of coding I would have felt like I got a lot of work done but didn't learn much. This will teach me to take breaks and set a system for me to stop at the right time. Thank you for this video.
Ответитьsubscribed from the ThePrimeTime!
ОтветитьHow can I start coding? my biggest problem is to start, I always wanted to learn coding but i have NO ideia where to start
ОтветитьSuper informative. Keep up the great work!
Ответитьproductivity is personal to everyone
and if you are in the tech career you have to spend a lot of time sitting on your desk and coding
so better to know these things :
1] Learn Keyboard shortcuts
2] Learn how to use vim or any sort of that
3] Use window tiling which is native in most linux distros
4] MAJOR THING: Time management - use deep work with Pomodoro technique combined for better results and dont use phone in between the breaks
Rather do Stretching going to the toilet walking drinking water
5 ] Mindset - is the KEY - it will determine whether you enjoy the process or not
have a mindset that whatever you are doing is fun and you love doing it
Bro this is straightforward facts with reference to videos/libraries to use straight away
ОтветитьWhere do you get theses memes from?
Ответитьit is a crime that this video only has 10k views
wont it be funny when your channel finally gets the attention it deserves and my comment is completely wrong
Are you using Vim as an editor, or have you integrated the keyboard bindings of Vim in the VScode editor?
Ответить1. Routines
- Learn keyboard shortcuts
- Integrate vim
- Tiling window manager
2. Time management: Deep work + Pomodoro (Without phone)
3. Mindset
my workflow is really simple i'm using vscode with default binds and some common extension, pomodoro 50/10 with mute notifications and simple desktop management built-in in macos ((my team chat, github, jira and so on), vscode, desktop browser with app, iphone/android emulator)
ОтветитьMy pomodoro technique goes like.
25-30 minutes working
10 minutes rapid chess
Hi,
can you make a video about the following:
I don't know if there is a term for this but,
When you pickup your phone, or open a new tab and want to look up something but you wind up at a completely different thing during the process, when you realise it you are already tired.
I currently sit for hours, no matter how much, when you i code, I also need to to change, need to use both pomorodo and deep work :) will do it
Ответитьthanks man you live close to our hearts you are just the wise man who speaks wise words amen 🙏
ОтветитьDude your videos are gold!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьYour contents are amazing for real. I always look forward to it.
ОтветитьWatching you makes me feel like im getting advice from Jim from The Office(Us Tv show).
ОтветитьDidn't know about window tiling managers that's awesome!
