I'm not even doing this because I'm mtf (even though that's true sometimes with being genderfluid), I'm doing it because I need to sing an alto part for an assembly at my school

I thought the voice at the beginning was your real voice until you went deeper in the humming

I'm genderfluid but Amab. I've always been scared to present fem in public due to worry about social backlash. I have some Fem clothes, but have never worn any of them outside of my house, and sometimes not even outside of my bedroom. Because of my anxiety I haven't done vocal training either yet.

Even though I have people who I am out too and I know support me I still am feeling some anxiety over trying the exercises even when I'm completely alone and know that no one can hear me.

Despite that, I did manage to finally sit down and follow along to the exercises in the video and while I don't know if it was a great result, it did sound a bit more fem than my normal voice to me but still very unrefined. I am at least taking the first steps for my voice now.

I very much so appreciate this video existing. I work in customer service and I get mistaken for a woman, a lot, like I tell people my name and I will get called Max instead, I now realize that my 'customer service voice' does a lot of this, and totally going to now use this video to help get better at voicing female characters for D&D.

I considered the possibility I was trans or non-binary but have now just found I have "non-conforming aspects to my identity. Although what even is conformity lol. But I am interested in branching out into Drag and maybe acting so I'll need to organise this sort of thing. I think this has been helpful but It will need more practice!

How many training lessons are good per day to feel an improvement. I wonder if I do enough to make it work in the future.

I am having trouble and I don’t know if it’s because I am a freshman in high school or not

I didn’t realize I was trans until about a month ago, around my 25 birthday, and it’s like all the dysphoria that I didn’t realize I had is hitting me all at once. Now I want to be as passing as possible but I’m scared to socially transition because I don’t want to disappoint my mom and brother. I know they wouldn’t shun me but I can’t help but feel like they would look at me like I’m a weirdo or something.

With all that doomer shit said hearing your normal voice then your deeper voice gives me hope that I can be who I want to be even if I was born male❤️

this is a great and well made video, but i just made the mistake of listening to how i sound after 1 session of exercises and i got hit with an overwhelming sense of dysphoria and almost threw up. Maybe this isnt for me

Don't over clench, or if 'clenching is causing issues simply replace it with the word 'raising'. there is a sweet spot when doing the exploration, it will raise the larynx while not being uncomfortable, experiment! Tread gently and i really hope this video helps!
