Super helpful for beginners (and teachers)! I just think the cowbell type metronome pulses are distracting from the overall sound.

ОтветитьCan you play the drum with one hand or if you have a disability for your hand, can you still play the drums ?? Like tape the stick to the hand?
ОтветитьMy drumming critic wants me to say I don't like the drum sound with the gate on the recorded drum parts. My drumming passion for quality makes me want to point out how brilliantly this drum teacher plays the drum parts at slow tempos. I mean, my years of playing allows me to play basic beats with a certain quality but this guy plays the initial beat lesson idea at such a slow tempo but with such rhymic precision but also with such musical care. It's so difficult bro play any drum part at slow tempos and with enormous rest space between each stroke or note. So much room for error. This guy has a production placed gate on his drums which ,while sonically I dislike, adds greater room for error as he hasn't the elongated spread of a resonating drum sound to reference his next beat hit. This video exposes a gap in my playing abilities despite my experience as this guy can execute what I cannot. I use lingering drum resonances as a time and space reference, this I've a crutch and dependency. He can play perfectly and musically despite it all. He may be teaching for beginners here as in the video title but if you are experienced at all please take the lesson I've taken from this also. A lesson in time keeping and quality. Great job
ОтветитьGreat lesson
ОтветитьGreat breakdown and way to start off!
ОтветитьGood luck for you
and keep up on drumming 😊
