Fallout 4 - Cannibal Perk - Is It Worth It?

It's annoying as hell. You want to loot a corpse and you're displayed an option about eating it instead. I don't recommend it. Stick to stimpacks, food, water, Nuka Cola, etc.

I was thinking doing cannibalidm in front of enemies will vause fear to enemies, give unique buff to melee or unarmed, or upgrade one of your special while in buff. But its just dull thingy by bethesda lmao.

I guess I coulda seen this coming... Of COURSE it's just for roleplay. Have a roaming prostitute pop a nip through some skimpy clothing? Hell no. Eat a corpse? Sure, why not. Americans are nasty.

I really think you should be able to eat Gen 3 synths too. They literally have human DNA and flesh. I also think maybe making the healing rate 20% of total health and not 25pts would make the perk more desireable.

Survival mode adds a lot of challenge, ammo has weight and you can't carry as much. That said, the best foods are pretty heavy and the alternative to carrying 30 pounds of food and water is to just eat the never ending supply of raiders and ghouls. Like your take on it, but consider the survivalist

It's good for roleplay.

I could forgive the diminishing returns, as 50hp isn’t much later on, but I can’t watch the exact same animation repeatedly. If they had made 10 animations, with unique sound F/X, it wouldn’t lose its charm.

I was hoping this perk would at least clear the corpses away. It's kind of weird that there's no way to get rid of corpses. If you kill an intruder in a settlement, you're forever stuck walking around over that body just lying there – and that's just weird, lol. I've stopped looting all their clothes because the naked bodies are just way too noticeable, lol. ... I can't believe this is actually a thing.

This is when gaming design fails, of course being a cannibal is wrong, but the rewards for doing it should be so good you'd be tempted to. It's an easy equation and why people do bad things "Of course doing X is wrong but the resulting Y is just so good"

Easily the most fucked up thing ever added to the perk list.

it also good if your follower is strong all the time good way to get his perk.

Only worth it if you travel with Strong.

Kinda late on the subject but I just remembered that video while going through FudgeMuppet playlists and I do have an important point to make regarding survival mode :

- Stimpacks are indeed commons and can be very usefull with medic, but they are still slow as heck and they dehydrate you, witch in turn forces you to use water.
- Purified water can be produced quite easily in a number of locations thanks to the industrial water purifier, but they take some time to be made and they weight you down, meaning you will always have so much water on you.
- Cannibal is actually really good for survival. Yes, you don't regen that much health, but it's the ultimate food source since it will always fill up your hunger with only one body, doesn't weight you down and it's free.
- With lead belly you can go further since you can drink from any kind of water puddle you find, meaning that you can eat and drink, rad-free, weight-free and caps-free witch is a great deal in survival as it's a large gain of both time and money beter spent on much more usefull resources.
- And obviously, if you want to rp a canibal it's quite difficult to go without.

I never used this perk. I assumed it just let you collect meat off humans similar to collecting off animals so that you can eat it later. Kinda weird that it isn't like that.

The only raw food that doesn’t give you radiation.

Its worth it just because it's the only fuckin thing Strong likes

To this day I use this perk because getting to eat a character who pisses you of is just a major power play like the mobster dude in the vault kill him then chow down

I mean, its a alternative way to heal after combat

It is the easiest way to get strong to max affinity. Apart from that it's pretty useless.

I only get this perk to raise affinity with Strong

I just want Strong to like me.. and feast on my enemies

A slight modification that would make this far more viable would be making it percentage based, so it heals 25% instead of 25 points. Far more useful.

In honor of my first ever FO4 run, I always get the cannibal perk. You haven't had a true FO4 experience until you've killed the Swan with a pool cue while hopped up on Fury, ate his corpse, took the Furious Power Fist, used the Furious Power Fist to kill Father as soon as you see him, and eat his corpse in front of of the Shaun clone while at the same time making the game glitch so you're trapped in the Institute.

vaultman perks changes cannibal to be a heal over time effect so you can use it mid combat or you can get the cannibal from makanar perks options which changes it to heal 30%/40%/50% per body and gives +2/+3/+4 to strength agility and endurance for 5 mins, i recommend these mods if you are planning to change the cannibal perk

Also worth it if you want to get higher affinity easier from Strong.

As soon as I saw the cannibal perk, I was like “Oh, heck yeah!” I am not past this stuff, I have been a cannibal, werewolf, and vampire in Skyrim. This is my first play through in fallout 4 tho, so I didn’t know that much about it. After I romanced Piper and found out she doesn’t like it, that’s when I began to second guess it. Besides, you can’t even cook human meat like you can normal meat. Which is stupid in my opinion, I mean. It’s an apocalypse for Pete’s sake. Ya do whatcha gotta do. As far as health goes, the goulish perk is great for that. You won’t need as many rad aways

The animation is too lengthy? Dude it takes literally 3 seconds.

In that case, stimpacks are very lengthy and take up time lmao

it should also increase damage by 5% against whatever things you can cannibalize and provide a livegiver regen for a time after eating.

Im not hateing but i think it is worth it
