1986: CNN's coverage of the Challenger explosion

Broadcast TV journalists were such stone-cold professionals, back in the day. Just listen to the professionalism in his voice, and in the mission control announcers at the key moment, even as they must have instantly understood the awful truth. Impossible to conceive today's journalists focusing on doing their jobs, and leaving the reactions to the viewers.

This was awful. I was 14 watching with my twonolder brothers and Mom. I knew immediately it exploded but we all looked at each and said did that just happen. Think if this daily and feel so sorry for all involved. So tragic.

Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell  (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better.
And addressing/thanking the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea.
Be my friend and I will pray for you, but I do not know how much help me doing so will give you. You should try to practice daily prayer yourself.
I'm trying to help you get right with the LORD 🙏

You can also say this prayer once a day or repeat it aloud as many times as you would like to:

I was teaching a third and forth grade class ,I went to take my break and went into our office ,the secretaries had the television on ,the Challenger had just exploded, few years after that ,i wouid teach a summer school class who’s name was dedicated to Christa McCalauff ,my heart sank watching the members of their families witness this .

When CNN was a news network.

I believe CNN changed format after this. I was taking journalism so all the behind the scenes was interesting

That news room was more chaotic than mission control.

cnn never told the truth

everybody, in my classroom in mr clarke's room at magnolia high school, in anaheim california, in 1986, was so excited then the shuttle went kaput, the girl next to me kept on asking the teacher, what happened, several times, i had to yell out IT EXPLODED, KABOOM, DON'T YOU WATCH ANY MOVIES, mr. clarke was in tears and shocked, for the whole day, he knew somebody on that shuttle, then the whole class fell silent and the female students crying, us boys, just spaced out, scarred, shocked, numbed, unable to talk or respond for a few minutes, (like 15-20 minutes)............even at lunch time, students and teachers just couldn't believe it happened, everybody thought it was a movie, but nope, reality hit, just like on 9/11,.......marius(punk rules).
