Buyer beware, this software requires an e-licenser to function. It only works with Steinberg (the usb keys are not the highest quality in terms of durability). And if you lose it, they will make you literally buy a new license. If it breaks, you will have to send them the damaged USB, they verify the licenses. Then give you a digital license.

I liked the synth, but the process and dongle just makes it almost not worth it. Customers gotta get treated a little better in my book

Very good horns and wheels but Nexus has some really bad records..distorted or squeaky xylophons and distorted flutes what makes it almost useless for professional records. For me Nexus is just semi-professional. There is almost no sound in Nexus which you have to repair with an EQ or a compressor to delete parasitic noise in its instruments.

My copy is 31.8GB. Why? I don't get it

Is it better for electronic music? All of these sounds sound very electronic-sounding. If I'm focusing on making hip hop/R&B-type beats, should I save my money and not buy Nexus 2?

nexus is for people that can't craft sounds easily but saying that its great for us that do because we don't feel like we are cheating because we know how to craft sounds and the main point here is that if your not one to coke from the crafting sounds era then most of your nice sound presets you found won't be useful as you wouldn't be on the crafting your own melodies level yet due to non crafting sounds yourself, theres one way to know who you are, if you stumble on a preset and a famousvtrack comes to mind then your not a crafter, if it sounds like something you have always wanted to use in a project then your a true crafter as you have remembered a project craft of your own to enhance or a new idea altogether. Think melodies, 32 bars at least, then break it up for song placement... True crafters.. Nexus and alike are great tools and if your a real crafter, it can set you well ahead of many industry

I actually checked and compared. MINIMAL new features, only a few shuffle, fade-in and strumming options for trancegate and arp. Features that should already have been there in Nexus 1 IMO. I must say I am disappointed!
