Thank you so much this really did give me perspective into my depression. I will take much of what I learned into the future.
ОтветитьDepression has stolen my life.
ОтветитьIs no one else wondering why nobody’s laughed at his ice cream joke in the beginning ?
ОтветитьI recovered by virtue of medication.
ОтветитьThis has given me life 😊
ОтветитьThis is so far the best and on point video on depression that I've found on the internet.
ОтветитьBest video I have ever heard on how to approach depression. Said in a caring and clear cut manner. God bless this man. ❤

ОтветитьThat is exactly what the speaker is trying to explain to all depressed individuals watching & hearing this podcast. Look to your future, not your past. Start planning for the way you want to see your life. Ask yourself what you want to see for yourself. Stop falling back on your own beliefs that keep you stuck. Move forward, not back, with baby steps. One foot in front of the other. It may not be graceful & no were near perfect, but build on personal actions that get you closer to what you want your life to like. Each success, no matter how small, is building a proven foundation you can use as a reference & tool, when you are faced with similar situations. One day, one step, one goal...at a time. It may take severval steps, several days, to complete one task, but your focus should always be on the fact that you did it! Give yourself credit for doing it. Those small steps add up & help us live the life we want for ourselves. I am depressed, I am anxious. I am 69; I no longer want that to be my future. I want joy & laughter. I want to live for "now", with my children & grandchildren. I want to show up. I want to succeed for them & for myself. There is hope for something better than my past childhood traumas & adult mistakes. On the days that I may seem I am at my worse, I am fighting my hardest. I want to live. "I will not go gentle, anymore, I am raging against the disappearing light." I have been better at carrying pain & I no longer want that to be my only truth. I want joy & to lead with a loving heart. I want to love what I see & do, & what surrounds me.
This podcast is helping me understand depression & how to heal it, instead of feeling it. Validating the baby steps I am taking/making for the freedom to be okay with myself, to be gentle with myself, to love me, as I have loved others, & enjoy the simple pleasures of being alive & sharing it with others. This is what I see for myself. My past has been examined through counseling, self help books, & group therapy. It is my turn to map & create a better life. I can choose how it looks for me & how I will get there💜🙏💐
Depression has taken over my life and I’m finding it hard to go on
ОтветитьThis guy is spot on.. I have learned coping skills , allowed myself to be open to my own thoughts
ОтветитьNow im in my fifth year in college and i’ve been depressed since high school, the more you get older the more you lose the ability to cope with debilitating disease. Its sad and scary
ОтветитьI liked this right up until you used President Trump as a negative example. As most people will say they were much better off while he was in office. You could have used CLINTON😂
ОтветитьExcuse me, could you tell me the medication that can treat constant fearlessness, deep hopelessness excessive worry? These issues are killing my life now😭
ОтветитьI’m 41 and thought I’d have life figured out by now. Wife, 2 kids, respectable job and income. I’m living the American dream, minus the happiness. It’s like my ship is sinking but I can’t find the leak. Every year that passes I worry more that I’ll die a sad, lost old man. A life wasted.
ОтветитьTough crowd, he inserted so many fine jokes in there.
Also what he said between those jokes was gold.
Depression doesn't exist, it's the luck of the draw.
Or genetics.
Ei ele ir no médico amanhã vou lá no e o cafezinho tava precisando ele está r e o
Ответитьbook a trip to basel and attend LSD therapy
ОтветитьEye Opening. Thank you
ОтветитьHow much I lost bcz of depression and ADHD
ОтветитьOwl is considered a symbol for wisdom one reason for this is because it can move it's head in different different and look in different directions.
ОтветитьPain
ОтветитьI know it'll be hard for you but next time Dr don't crap on Melania and Trump. They're probably happier than you are.
ОтветитьHe's so funny, I love this lecture
ОтветитьBest video on the topic
ОтветитьThx very informative 😊😊😊
ОтветитьThe best presentation about depression I hav ever heard ❤ I’m suffering from it for such a long time n anti-depressants definitely won’t work. Don’t wanna in connection with family n friends anymore as they don’t understand but keep thinking that depression is a tiny piece of cake. I’m learning about the advice for depression each day. I’m sure we will get fully recovered soon 😊😊
Ответитьthis is the answer I've been looking for. I can't cure my depression. I can manage my emotions. Now I know where I need to look. HOw to control ones emotions?
ОтветитьThe only cure of anxiety and depression is to get out in the society because society give us to much pressure…Mostly people who are emotional likely experience anxiety and depression……During lockdown I cured my anxiety and depression…Coz I don’t deal lots of people and I can’t stand to many people surround me gives me panic attacks also …
ОтветитьThe title doesn't do this man justice what a breath of fresh air and needed if we are to wake up and evolve in our communication with self and others I love this. thank-you! 👍
ОтветитьThis video is amazing!
ОтветитьSeems like he makes good points but for some reason making a fun of depressed people and devaluing their feelings
ОтветитьWhy is he shaming depressed people like it’s their fault? “Bad decision”
ОтветитьThe first 1/3 of this video is quite good. You can leave it there.
ОтветитьDepression (and anxiety) stinks. Food tastes like trash. You get bogged down and burdened by the most trivial matters such as choosing what to eat and what others might think of you, Your motivation goes. You stop believing that you are a morally upstanding person with a good work ethic. You feel sleepy and physically heavy.
Strongly agree with the points about rumination, checking in with someone to remain grounded, and medication.
Workplace bullying caused my depression
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this video, I learn a lot . Really thankfull from heart.
ОтветитьRoot causes of depression, especially amongst Gen Z: Lack of values (especially family & spirituality), social media, education system spreading strange/misleading ideas, media spreading fear porn not based on reality
ОтветитьI really agree medication use have high chances of relapse
Ответить“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor. He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
ОтветитьI cannot not agree with this. But what about things that happened that still influence your quality of life today? What if you have a progressive illness that makes a lot of these managing points hard or impossible to do, plus you know it WILL get worse. The problems that come with chronic illness is isolation bec you cannot do the things you want that make you happier, or your life more useful, you lose people you love because they can't deal with your chronic illness? I'd like to hear his answers on these kinds of questions. This is too generalized.
ОтветитьPLEASE READ THE POWER OF NOW IT TOTALLY HEALED MY DEPRESSION THANK YOU JACK! ALSO PRAY TO JEHOVAH
