How to wake up screen for any new notification without double tap ?

Just yesterday i got the A10e and it has no tapping to wake up the phone or to put it back off. So i'm taking this phone back and will pay Verizon the hefty 50 re stock fee. As far as I'm concerned, i'm going back to my windows phone and this Android that for 186 dollars, c'mon and i've got to use that button and wear it out to turn on and off day. That's sooooooo cheap!

Misleading video. It can't double tap to turn it off.

I hate this. It's annoying. I just want to touch it once like my note 8. The note 10 plus is really disappointing with the changes they made. Taking away my side button and making it more difficult to use the freaking phone and to screenshot and now the screen takes forever to wake up. I may return this and go back to my 8.

Double tap to wake up is not available on my note 8.

Thank you very much for this valuable information. I spoke with someone who just purchased a Note 10 and when I asked him if it offered the double tap to wake the phone he replied that it did not. I will be so happy to call him tomorrow and tell him this function is available.
