Sicily mafia one purpose was to keep out invaders from Islamic, African, turkish/ottoman conquerers. And is still doing its intended purpose. Sicily is not over run by migrants from Islamic nations, turkey, Africa unlike others regions of Italy.

It is a shame he didn't cover Sicilian cheeses, and especially the variety of their pecorino. Sicilian cheeses are criminally underrated.

Sicily is not mafia, it's the most beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea and the most part of people are gentle and kind. Stop talking about only of mafia!
