What do you think of Valkyrie, is she good?

5/9/23 Notes: Valkyrie remains a top tier legend. This guide still remains relevant.

2/13/23 Notes: Valkyrie remains 100% a top tier meta legend. This guide still remains relevant although her capabilities have been reduced in power. She is a skirmisher legend at the start of Season 16.


8/9/22 Notes: Valk had a ton of nerfs for Season 14. However, I think she will still be a top 3 to 5 picked legend and I wouldn't worry about it too much. This guide is still relevant as really all of the changes don't affect how she is played on a fundamental level. They just affect her skill ceiling.

Changes Since The Launch of This Video:

Season 17:
None

Season 16:
No Legend changes. She is now a skirmisher legend meaning she can see what is in care packages before they hit the ground. She is no longer a recon legend.

Season 15:
None

Season 14:
VTOL Jets
Acceleration on activation decreased by about 8%.
Fuel consumption on activation increased by 33%.
Aerial boosting & strafing take a 20% debuff when hit by slowing effects.
Added a third orange state to the fuel meter UI between green (>60%) and red (<30%).

Missile Swarm
Aim/turn slow removed.
Move slow duration decreased from 2.5s -> 2.0s.
Reducing the explosion radius from 175 -> 125.

Skyward Dive
Height reduction of 25%.
Launch time reduced from 5.5s -> 5.0s. Coupled with the height reduction, players in Valk ult now travel upward at a slightly slower speed.

Is Valkyrie an easy character to play? And if not, who would you recommend for a beginner who wants to play aggressive but does something for the team so they’re not useless

So cringe how you change the title every new season, to click bait.

Does anyone have an opinion on the toggle/hold? I use toggle because then I can still use the stick to move but when I switch L1 to jump then I can't aim my tactical? Any input plzzz

As a Valk main I love playing her and I loved this video. I always felt good with her but I want to better perhaps this will do the trick

Did you know that if you burst and then quickly interact with a zipline then you get super high jump with high air control

If you did not know Valkyrie is from Titanfall 1 and 2 pay close attention to the shoulder

Valk main here: if possible, do a recon scan before using her ult. More often than not you'll be first to arrive on the next ring and this will help you setup ambush points which can guarantee a top 5 finish.

Not gonna lie I hated valk for a long time but I started using her on season 13 and I’m honestly loving it, pretty much a valk main now

the amount of trolls that demand a nerf to valk for the next season is extremely disgusting, she is well balanced but they do this with malice, or just to annoy, they did the same with Horizon and it ended up being very weak, now they want to do the same with valk. these people did not say this 4 seasons before, now suddenly they are doing it, it's all to annoy and confuse

I love playing valk but her voice lines are so snarky and annoying

I will also recommend (for all legends) turn the auto sprint on

hey man i couldnt help but notice how easy you see enemies. Whats ur visual settings? I have trouble seeing legends sometimes in darker areas and its sometimes hard to aim

@TimProVision I was wondering who I should unlock and who is better in your opinion Valkyrie or Horizon because I was thinking about maining one of theese legends

I'm a wattson main and just started messing around with Valk. She is super op when you figure out the strafing gliding.

Who cares about meta? She has a jet pack, that's all I need to want to main her.

Quick question, does putting the jet pack on hold to use will that make it easier to walk jump because I am somewhat of movement layer as I just mad the switch from wraith to Valkyrie

I use console, so when using her jetpack I find it much easier with it being set to press rather than hold. Unless I have 2 thumbs on one hand I can't really look around when using jets set to hold

Valk is my main and on controller I absolutely prefer PRESS and not hold. With hold I can't change direction well, look around and do complex movements.
