The worst bullshit I've seen in a long time. Been using Windex and kitchen towels since forever. No problems.

The best way maintain a clean screen is not to let it get dirty. Wall mount it so that it is too high for grubby little peoples hands or pets noses to reach. Mount it so that it is tilting downward, very slightly. This will discourage dust from settling on the screen. If you’ve invested good money on a premium A-brand screen, invest a little more in a quiet and efficient air purifier. This will reduce the amount of dust particles in the air. Then, all you’ll ever need is a microfibre cloth and a canister of compressed air.

It's disappointing how much you need to nurse these delicate but expensive TVs these days. From burn-in by watching the same channel for an hour to cleaning techniques for basic fingerprints.

Had no intent on commenting here, but when you said about being mystified as far as what ends up on screen I had to leave a quick comment. I have an A90K now for maybe 6-8 months, and the thing has been nearly under lock and key. The other day I was letting the light really shine on the TV and I noticed about 4 dark circular (smudge) areas on the TV (all looked very similar, but located in completely different places on the screen). It is nigh impossible that these could have ended up on the screen by someone smudging the TV, yet they are there. I took a super soft cloth and tried to just buff them out, and it worked, but I had to press a little harder than I would have liked to to get them out. What was the option? Spray some crap on there that shouldn't be on there, then wipe the smudges out? So it seemed pretty simple, the question is what were those thing and how did they get there (between 4-6 inches in diameter). I figured they would rub out very easy since they shouldn't have been there to begin with, but they did require some minimal pressing on the cloth against the screen (more than I wanted though).

If you still have a tube TV, Windex is still good for it.
