I love reason . got lucky a year ago on eBay someone was selling a key for the lite version for only 20.00 . I think Fl is great too but whenever I try to use it
My beats always end up with this uneven slant to them and is out of time
with my melodies. I love hitting that pure deep bass which is why I'm a big fan of
reason , it has those amazing bass racks .

Been making music in FL for over 10 years... never in my life did I realize "split by channel" was a thing lmfao, that's mad handy! Fire beat, Great showcase of the DAW man!
I wont lie, a lot of the other DAW's like Ableton and Logic have some more "intuitive" design when it comes to effects and that on your synths - but that's precisely why I cant switch anymore, the FL Mixer is holding me hostage😂 "Im too far gone" is an accurate description lmao, but big ups!

FL studio isnt a bad daw, it's just a very "annoying" to work in daw. I have used pro tools and ableton but switched to ableton because the buggyness of pro tools. Ableton, you just go in get your sound and start making a beat, never any issues. FL studio you need to clear out all the garbage sounds on the sampler, then change it to be on "song mode" (wtf even is that), then add ur sound to the awful floating mixing window u just had to clear out, then seeing those notes u placed behind the song is a whole other fucking mess. So you have this whole annoying workflow to go through and you haven't even placed your first note yet. It's just not ideal. If Fl improved on the workflow and the setup even a little bit since the early 2000's it'd be a whole lot better to use. They've had the same annoying complaints for 2 decades now.

Set your external screen as "Extended" to remove black lines and enjoy the whole screen size :)

Ocean downloads fl studio demo version and has already got halftime and analog lab on it

Getting the all plugins bundle was the best decision I ever made. I know it's not necessary but it makes life easier if you wanna use some of the plugins not included in producer or signature edition. There are workarounds tho if you don't wanna fork out all the cash. I got it on sale for like $500. Also have the MOC ONE and MPC X. Got those first but I missed the speed in which you can do things in FL and the automation abilities. You can use automation in MPC to, but it's kind of limited in comparison to FL. I plan on merging MPC and FL when I get around to it. Probably use MPC as a plug-in in FL for drums and samples.
