This video took me over 3 weeks with over 100 hours of work to put together. If you appreciate the effort, consider subscribing! 👊
ОтветитьI will not lie, I know that everyone kind of does the same thing for painting, but man this literally sounds like the exact same script as another video from a different guy two years before
ОтветитьDo I need to sand the figure's body and then prime it before painting it? I am planning on customizing an actual fig (Q Posket). But its details are very delicate and hard to reach to sand. I worry I might ruin the figure. Thank you very much for your time.
P.s. Can I also please have additional advice from you?
This helps a lot for me since I’ve just got into painting warhammer models with my orks and it’s better to practice on multiple model units before character models for practice as I’m wanting to do as good as I can for my character models
ОтветитьI really needed a refresh after 20 something year ... Ty I subscribed cause I am painting armies again
ОтветитьAmazing guide to start painting. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьCan the wash lair be heavily diluted paint? Or do i have to buy a dedicated wash?
ОтветитьGreat guide.
However... slapchop.
Sorry.
It was the best noob guide I've ever seen.
ОтветитьOne thing I'd add, if you paint for a long time continously, and feel like it's still missing something - put it down, and get back to it tomorrow. Maybe with a fresh eye you will see better what needs to be done, or you can conclude that it is already fine for your purposes.
ОтветитьAre resin and PLA/FDM/whatever the same thing?
Ответить"put your clippers close to your bits but still leave some space there"
very important tip, even in non-miniature contexts.
I have a question ❓❓
About the priming step
Is that a typical black and white paint spray or is it special kind of spray ?
I've just got started in painting minis myself and although I've watched a lot of tutorial videos, this is the one I keep coming back to. Simple and clear instructions about several great techniques.
ОтветитьVery very helpful m8. Thanks alot for your work and detailed explainment. Iam pretty new to this hobby and iam watching alot vids atm. Again, thanks alot!!!
ОтветитьEs el video mejor explicado y más motivador que he visto en yt ❤
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьWhere did you get the Charizard miniature it is pretty
Ответить3d printing is both expensive and difficult, do not listen to this dude on that specific part.
ОтветитьHey I have a question what is the name of the table thing he uses? The black thing with lines and numbers I been trying to get one but I don't know the name(English not my first language)
ОтветитьJesus, I am getting tired just watching the video. Its a very time consuming hobby lol
ОтветитьAfter watching a few of your videos, I am pleased to see that you keep your Drybrushing to a minimum so that it doesn't look like a fat lady was in the room while applying powder to every crack and crevice and thus coating everything. Drybrushing has it's place but, it seems that EVERYBODY is over using it, it just looks...DUSTY!
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьThat brush looks incredible. You even do metallics and it stays in good shape. What's the trick beside not getting paint on the ferrule and let it dry downward
ОтветитьVery good video. I'm trying to get into painting miniatures cause my goal is to one day paint my Dark Souls board game miniatures in a way, they look as close to their in-game models. But before I touch them, I want to be sure of my skills, so I'm going to start by practicing on Warhammer miniatures then hopefully within some number of months I can the Dark Souls duders. This video helped a ton and I'll be sure to refer to it often. Thank you soooo much.
Ответитьevery video i see they put on the base coat, and it looks really wet, but then there is a cut and its perfectly smooth. when i paint it the way it looked wet and wait for it to dry its splodgy and streaky afterwards:(
ОтветитьThanks for this amazing tutorial :)
ОтветитьWhen it comes to painting bases i tend to do the model first and base after when it's for army painting with the texture paints, since I find it to add some more "realism" when you accidentally get some (read, SOME) of the texture paint on the shoes and stuff which kinda makes it look like there's some dirt and shit that's been kicked up on the feet/boots/whatevs while, you know, fighting an other army.
ОтветитьI wanted to see as many tutorials as possible before painting my first miniature but fortunately I saw your tutorial which, for me, is complete (for the moment). What I didn't understand or missed is when the second layer of paint of a color is applied: after the first layer of that color dries or after the first layer of all colors dries?
ОтветитьI’m at a pre-beginner level since I still have to receive my inks!
Thanks for the great video. One small subtle thing it’s always missing from this kind of tutorials… how am I supposed to know how long it takes for the color to dry enough to be painted over? Like for example how long do you wait after each go with lighter colors? 🙏🏻
Thanks!
An extremely valuable video for new members of the miniature painting community 🫶 Job well done, sir!
ОтветитьMay I know where the Charizard is from?
Ответитьexcellent video, much appreciated
ОтветитьYou're the fucking man
ОтветитьThis was a great video. I’ve painted on and off for many years but have gotten more serious about painting miniatures in my board games. Wish I’d had this to watch years ago.
ОтветитьThank you for this video I really enjoyed how you tackled three different miniatures and really showed the difference in styles and techniques in your advice. If I had this 37 years ago when I started painting miniatures I would be Picasso today. Unfortunately I’m now just getting back into the hobby in my late 40s and your video here has really helped me relax into it. I’m going to be learning airbrushing too so more messing up but that’s OK. Be well be you
ОтветитьBest explained tutorial on mini painting. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you very much man, I'm starting with this hooby with my D&D minis and a guide like this helps me alot.
ОтветитьI am considering this as a hobby and this content is phenomenal. I really appreciate the effort to produce this video!
ОтветитьDude you make this look so easy lol ugh I think what’s stunted my painting growth is painting RG black armor 😢
ОтветитьThis is super helpful. Do you have any tips for painting hard to reach areas? For example, the inside of the cape/between the legs of the figure? I can't find any tutorials that cover this. Thanks!
ОтветитьHi I have a question, I'm new to painting and I have a Masterson sta wet pallet and using Vallejo paints but it seems like everything is still drying out I can't seem to have my paints stay wet
ОтветитьThanks for the tips. I paint Nolzur minis for D&D with Army painter stuff and use some Citadel metallics which Army dosent have. Im also using the Citadel mini holder to some degree. And whys theres a lack of brass metallic colors? Gold, silver even bronze and copper are easier to find. Brass color FYI is the color usually found on trumpets, tubas etc. Copper with zinc gives brass, copper with tin gives bronze.
ОтветитьAwesome guide!!
ОтветитьThank you for this video
Question though: where did you get the minis from the "what should you paint" section?
Is this all acrylic paint?
ОтветитьBefore ALWAYS goes on the left.
