Hey, Have you tried the updated spark plugs? The Sc16hr11 plugs woke up the car as well as helps with emissions, potentially helping with egr and carbon build up. Additionally if you still have this car, look up Maxxvolts hybrid battery charger. Refreshes the hybrid battery whenever you plug it in. Easy to install and helps reclaim mpg and battery storage.

People buying Lexus CT200H is like saying I’m disappointed that it couldnt keep up with a BMW M5 Merc E63 AMG. Stop complaining about its performance as it wasn’t built to perform like a sports hatchback.

I have no problem with the breaks, but maybe that is because my model is younger.

You bought the premium. I stuck with the base model due to the hate for the infotainment system found in the forums.

5 things I HATE ABOUT MINE🤔?? CAN'T THINK OF 1😯🤷. Owner since 2015 of a '13 model👍. JUST recently CHECK ENGINE LIGHT appeared for first time since purchase😳. IS this car capable of running out of gas🤔?? If SO, I WOULDN'T KNOW😯. I've driven on E for several miles, several times, and NEVER have I even felt the car lose traction. I know ECONOMIC MODE is supposed to stretch your Miles, but it DAMN NEAR feels like it it just won't SLOW DOWN 😍. IM TRULY ATTACHED to this car, and can't see myself in any other model, except a later version of this one at some point. They ceased production a few years back, so that makes the final 2-3 year models that much more appealing.

That's kind of disappointing that this vehicle, made by "Toyota" has all these mechanical issues. 🤷

Even the brakes locking up??? Seriously?? I would expect that from a Chevy spark or Cruz........ But.........Toyota?? 🤦

And yes I say Toyota because Lexus is made by Toyota. It's their premium luxury" vehicle.

Looking at a 2015 w/ 67k miles and only one owner. It’s at 23k and has been maintained well, just wondering if you think the car is worth buying at almost 10 years old?

My biggest problem with the car, is that there is no temperature gauge. The biggest thing that happens to these motors is a blown head gasket because you can't predict the temperature while it's overheating.

If youre buying this car you're not buying it for the technology, comfort, or horsepower; you're buying it because it's a dressed up alternative to a prius. The egr valve is an interesting point because I have not heard of many failures but, I guess it would be smart to service both that and the thermostat st 100k.

The braking issue you mentioned is related to the brake actuators that all go out in all toyota and lexus products. It's such a stupid design that I don't think they fixed and you're left with squaking brakes. The brakes don't project you forward, they're just more touchy. You'll find yourself pressing too hard too often. It's a super expensive fix thst most owners just ignore

you hate this, you hate that, what worthless comment. Lexus is one of the best cars of the world. It is so easy to try breakdown a brand. When you buy a car first you're gonne make a testdrive. But you already bought it. Then place the negative comments online. You made the decision...a wrong decision to buy this car! Reflect to yourself.

Why not use a later model rather than the early version of the CT? Complaining about things that have been addressed.

Good review man, currently driving a 13 prius as a daily love the car but hate how it looks plus the stigma prius drivers get, looking to upgrade to a Lexus CT soon. Also Azusa canyons/GMR local local, grew up in west covina.

For an alternative to BMW 1 series, Audi A3 and Mercedes A class the CT200h is a very good choice. Those who want better economy would likely be going for a diesel variant of the German rivals, however, CT200h is a very efficient rival, especially in city driving. It is based off the 1.8L Prius platform which most cars are used for Taxi here in the UK and if you ask the owners most of them have between 220,000-320,000 miles on them…

This car isn’t designed to be fast or sporty, it is designed to be aesthetically pleasing whilst also being an entry point to the Lexus brand; with minimal maintenance required and relatively strong resale value, this is the car that will likely bring more users into the IS300h or the UX250h range and most people know that Lexus customers become Lexus customers for life…

I'm looking at a 2011 with 200k miles -- low price. Well maintained. It will be a third car, really, for short distances around town. I expect repairs, of course -- but how risky is this?

Needed a new engine after 120k miles, extremely disappointing. I almost feel fortunate to have survived this car however, terrible brakes, visibility and so underpowered getting out of a bad situation on the highway is next to impossible

Great video! Not sure why so many downvotes, I've had this car for 3 months now and I love it, but these are legitimate critiques.
For me the HP is sufficient but that's a personal preference.
Regarding the park button, I haven't had a problem yet, but I also primarily use the power button as it automatically puts the car into park which I love.
The screen, connectivity and navigation are incredibly dated so I just mount my phone over one of the center air vents, which can individually be closed off which is perfect.
Thanks for the video.

My CT 2013 has 84,000 miles and is burning oil so like over 4000 miles the oil would nearly be completely gone so I suspect I would need a PCV replacement and to clean the whole EGR system and intake
