If you really want a monitor with high refresh rate, then it's probably best to save some money and buy a 144Hz but I know that some of you wanted a video like this. 👌

How about without Nvidia control panel and only chosing list of all modes says 75hz but you need to change resolution down to 1024x768 is it really 75hz?

If you have an old monitor, lets say at 768p you can overclock the hell out of it without breaking it and it will hold up perfectly almost at 80hz with no problem due to the low native resolution and the high bandwith of a HDMI connector when it comes to lowres. I've been doing this for 5 years now on an old rig and it works like a charm.

Is there a reason the second option you override scaling to the display first? Does it allow the games to apply the new refresh rate?

@MrMaxim hey I would like to do an FPS bypass on minecraft, so that the game physics run at say 120hz, but the monitor visuals stay at 60 fps so that i dont overwork my pc, is there a way to do this? i know its possible in other games, my main issue isnt visuals its input delay from the low refresh rate.

I was able to make my 60hz laptop monitor go to amazing 90hz, and after a 2m it is still running great.
Small tip: Turn on higher hz only if u will go play some games. Using it on daily stuff like watching yt videos, email and ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), i really recommended turn it off.
Some games like minecraft(with optifine or sodium), offer custom fullscreen resolution, where u can set it for example to 720p 90hz, so every time u go off fullscreen, or u turn off game, it will go to default hz (and resolution) again.
