awesome thanks, plain English explanation ,,i looked at php manual lol..those guys kill me: session_start() creates a session or resumes the current one based on a session identifier passed via a GET or POST request, or passed via a cookie.

is php case sensitive? it didn't work until I used capital letters... bah!
