Ppl talking about old opening is better is so wrong,compare old one to new one,we know much more in the new one,not only we know we fought on of the four shade of Celestia,we also know how did we end up getting our power sealed. The old one is literally traveler looking at the sky for no reason.

It's so weird to see Paimon say "I" and "me"

then suddenly all the quests became 99% dialogue

Seeing this makes me feel grateful that genshin changed a lot. I love the way the beta version starts but it seems very rushed and somehow unpolished however it was still a great way to start off the game!

I really wish they kept that opening cutscene in the final game, or at least some version of it. For the longest time I was really confused as to how our twin was able to participate in the Kaenriah incident 500 years ago since with the cutscene we have now it seems like we wake up right after the enounter with the unknown God. No where does it explain that we've been asleep for hundreds of years (at least not that I recall, I could be wrong), which seems like a pretty important thing to omit.

I like the little story told from Traveler's perspective of their slumber after their confrontation with the Unknown God. I do prefer what we have now, showing the fight and them getting captured, and the next moment we see Traveler recounting those events to Paimon, who Traveler fished out of the water by coincidence (and not the game saying you're going it alone and boom, unexplained Paimon). But that little cutscene is pretty dope. I wish they kept that in with Traveler being the narrator of their experience while asleep.
