Hi, there is actually now an EASIER way to do this:
1. Select 'File' in the top left of the VirtualBox Manager
2. Select 'Virtual Media Manager...'
3. Pick the Hard Disk .vdi you wish to increase
4. Right Click and select 'Properties' (or just select the properties option above)
5. View the 'Attribute' tab at the bottom of the window
6. Now you can move the slider for the size you wish to select to change your hard disk to
7. Select 'Apply'
Done.
Wonderful! Im subscribing
ОтветитьDoes this work with Windows XP?
Ответитьi got permission denied
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial. I spent more than an hour going through different website tutorials unsuccessfully, this video explained my problem and how to solve it in less than 5
Ответить.\VBoxManage.exe modifymedium "location to vdi" --resize 60999
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответить.\VBoxManage.exe modifymedium "C:\Users\edwardm\VirtualBox VMs\Flyn_Rider\Flyn_Rider.vdi" --resize 60999
Ответитьdesen't work for me
Ответить"Bonjour" folder
ОтветитьYour video won't help me, you're using Windows 10! I need steps to install XP virtually from Windows 7 Pro!
Ответитьmaybe this information is necessary: The extend volume or shrink volume feature only works with NTFS file system. If the partition you want to extend is not formatted with NTFS, the Extend Volume option will be grayed out
ОтветитьWhat do I do if I have only powershell option
ОтветитьWow! very helpfull
ОтветитьAre this cause delete files or no??
Ответитьهل يؤدي ذلك الى حذف الملفاات ام لا؟؟
ОтветитьThe steps worked except for when you have to open cmd. It took me through powershell but I opened the path on cmd. Then I had an issue merging the new space with the existing c drive. I had to use a 3rd party partioning tool and then move the recovery all the way to the right of the new space and then merge it.
ОтветитьThank you very much. Nice and neat. Too easy, after watched your video. Congrats!
ОтветитьVBoxManage.exe : The term 'VBoxManage.exe' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or
operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try
again.

Sincer thanks, Safaa Al-Hayali! For once I could actually follow your CLEAR SIMPLE instructions and . . . to my surprise, EVERYTHING ACTUALLY WORKED. I am extremely grateful!

Ответитьdoesn't work anymore ;.(
Ответитьworked for me as well thank you
Ответитьthis broke my vm for Ubuntu. 😭😭😭
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!
ОтветитьAfter resizing my ubuntu is not starting, what to do?
ОтветитьIt worked thanks !
ОтветитьI did not even know about this command line tricks,
very well explained, and additionally a calming voice tone.
Awesome, very good guide. Keep it up dear.
ОтветитьMr. Al-Hayali, thank you so much for posting this video. This has been so frustrating for me, but you solved my problem. Wishing you the best.
ОтветитьI get stuck at the oracle map part. I dont have an oracle map in program files. I installed virtual box on an ssd. Even at the folder i installed, there is no oracle. The files are the same as in the video, but rightclicking with shift only gives an option for powershell. Putting the code to the vm file in doesnt work. It says VBoxManage.exe doesnt exist.
ОтветитьYou saved my sanity
Thank you so much
