When going up into space, the intense vibrations from the rockets could certainly loosen parts of the structure (while not to the extent of compromising the spacecraft's integrity.) Speculation says to me that some part of this spacecraft is causing that noise. To believe that the knocking is something produced by some outside influence is crazy thinking. I wonder if this could be the result of the hull of the ship expanding and contracting due to exposure to the sunlight and the cold of space. I once was near a metal pipe overnight, and I heard it banging several times about every 5 to 10 minutes. This continued for several hours throughout the night. It began to frighten me. I thought it might have been an animal, or something else banging on the pipe. I then realized it was the result of the metal pipe cooling-off throughout the cool night hours.
