One that I failed to mention in this video is baptizing babies. We do not believe in baptizing babies for salvation. We believe you can dedicate your baby to the Lord but that does not guarantee true or salvation. Baptism must happen subsequent to salvation.

The Blessed Mother appeared 13 times in history. in 1531 AD, she appeared in Mexico right after Cortez was there. Only 1000 Aztecs converted to Catholicism then. She appeared to a convert who was walking to Mass and called him by his name "Juan Diego - come here!" he came, and she said she wanted the Bishop to build a church where she was standing. He told the Bishop, who said he wanted a sign. He went back on December 13 and told the Lady and she bent down and put dozens of Roses in his tilma to carry them to the Bishop. He unfurled the roses and the Bishop fell to his knees because on his tilma was a picture of the Lady. Scientists have done studies on the tilma and no one could say what type or kind of paint it is. it is hanging in a church in Mexico now almost 500 years later. From 1531 to 1541 over 10 million Aztecs converted and stopped killing people and babies in the volcano, over ten years. Our Lady of Guadalupe. Look up Our Lady of Fatima or Our Lady of Lourdes. Jesus started just one church

You would not even have a bible if not for the Catholic Church. in 352 AD Pope Damusus chose with the Holy Spirit the 27 books of the NT. All biblical scholars agree that Jesus and His Apostles used the Septuagint - the Greek version put together 150 years before Christ. It had 46 books Catholic Monks hand copied the scriptures for 1000 years so you could misinterpret it today. when Martin Luther came in 1517, one year after his death, there were over 100 different churches all teaching different doctrines . going against Scripture in 1 Tim1:3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer

Btw we believe Marry was conceived without Original sin, we believe she did not sin a day in her life. Hope you don't have a cow after hearing this. And she is not part of the forgiveness that comes with a sacramental confession. I understand this belief is not part of your faith, but it makes perfect sense in the light of what Paul teaches about the Body and Blood of Jesus and receiving it worthily, why would such emphasis be placed in a piece of bread and a few drops of wine. We believe holy Communion is all that Jesus is. All.. I think you would make a great Catholic Christian and you should consider RCIA. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It start every year at the middle of August and runs for 9 months where the basics of the Christian life, prayer baptist, life in Christ and the Sacramental life is taught to the candidate. After that you can decide if you want to join! We are the only Church that has published a complete statement of their faith and it hasn't changed for almost 2000 years

We do believe works will accompany faith, the Church teaches that there are 7spiritual work of mercy and 7corporal works of mercy(corporal meaning providing for ones physical/material needs). Praying for the living and the dead, counseling the doubtful, (example, you probably don't want to live tue gay lifestyle or have sex with your girlfriend before marriage.) If I never performed any works of mercy essentially I would be the equivalent of a Pharasie. This is from a practicing Catholic. Another thing, the Jews of the Exodus and Monarchy had prescribed rituals for sinners that involved a levitical priest. Those rituals involved the sinner, priest and sacraficial animal. We have John chapter 20 verse 22 Jesus says who's sins you forgive are forgiven who sins you retain are retained. How you would interpret those words if you were in the room after the ressurection is your business. But this is why we believe the priest can act in the person of Christ and absolve our sins, and there will still be temporal punishment, but you may receive the body of Jesus worthily after confessing a grace sin. Really if you want to know what the Church teaches Catholic Answers Apostolet is a good resource. The fundamental difference is when there is a doctrinal dispute in the various protestant churches, they split and form another denomination, which are over 38000 to date, however the Pope will hold a counsil with the Bishops and will have the last word and settle the matter and the Church will remain one.

2.08 actually this is nonsense, Protestants don't believe in salvation by faith alone. They actually reject faith alone. One minute they say Faith alone, next they say that believing in jesus isn't enough to save a person, that the devils believe etc and that a person must repent of their sins, turn their back on the world, submit to christ etc or else they will not be saved. They also believe that you can even believe in jesus and still not be saved. This is one example of protestantisms many contradictions.

And the one true Church is the Catholic Church with the Pope as its supreme, infallible head and locus of communion.

Et unam sanctam catholicam

Confiteor unum baptisma

Et exspecto resurrectionem mortuorum

We have 7 extra books that the Protestants removed after they were in the Bible for 1200 years. All around a terrible video. Please just read our catechism if you want to know our real beliefs.

One crucial difference is that Roman Catholics believe in averaging the Decalogue, thereby breaking it, but Christians believe what James in New Testament said about the organic wholeness of the Decalogue - you sin once, you're guilty of all!

That explains why so many poor countries e.g. South America are run by Catholics because drug lords like Pablo Escobar has no problem killing people because he is donating to local parishes anyway, his evil is negated with good.

My wife and I converted to Catholicism. She was a former Baptism and converted because "she wanted more Jesus." There's a lot of bad Catholics and misunderstanding about what we believe, but if you love Jesus and want him, there's no place better than Catholicism.

This video get's almost nothing right about Catholicism. Catholics DO NOT believe in Faith + Works. We DO NOT worship Mary. We DO NOT believe the Hail Mary must be said to forgive sins. He didn't even get his history and the inclusion of the Orthodox/the great Schism right.

I will pray for you and I hope one day you will meet Jesus more truly and more fully in His Church. I'd recommend Trent Horn and Pints with Aquinas as starters, they really helped us. God bless!

I don't think Allen Parr even did any research on this topic and if he did it was inaccurate. This is very sloppy and makes his credibility look really bad. Before you start criticizing the oldest Christian church you better have your facts straight. I would hope he was just ignorant on the false claims against the one true church Jesus started, instead of knowingly lied about the false accusations. He is so off based on his research you have to question his integrity at that point, because I do not think he is an idiot.

Some of this is flat out false. Some is true, but it is spun in a way to make it sound ridiculous because all the facts are not presented correctly. Just really bad research. A quick Google search can tell you there are only 7 books that were removed from the Bible, not 14. SMH

Wow, almost everything he says about the catholic church is wrong. First of all we have 7 more books, not 14. Without the catholic church, there wouldnt even be a bible. Luther didnt critisize the faith of the church. He was against the abuse within the church. The tradition and the pope help us to understand the scriptures. Why do we have so many different belief systems in Christianity ? Everybody reads the Bible and finds new ideas and therefore starts a new church. Jesus did only start one church and he gave the authority to teach, to those who had been around him for years. God loves unity. Guess who likes chaos ??? The early Christians celebrated mass exactly as the catholic church does it to this day. Everything that catholics do during mass is Biblical. Salvation is not a one time event, it is a process. Thats why Jesus said, we should confess our sins and celebrate mass.

While there is truth found in all church's that believe in Christ alone for salvation, so many are missing the fullness of truth. Be careful of what you say; teachers will be held to a higher standard and therefore judgement. Sorry but you have no clue as to what the Catholic Church actually teaches. I was where you are at one time until I started actually reading. Most protestant/evangelical have no clue about the reformation or what the church looked like for the first 1500 years of Christianity. Go back and read church history, read the apostolic fathers, Polycarp, Ignatius of Antioch, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus of Lyons and other church fathers like Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, etc. The amount of confusion in the thousands of denominations since the Reformation is why there is so much confusion and disunity. There was no Bible for the first 300 years! Who put the cannon of scripture together, who defined the trinity. Study people and pray!
Everyone named on the list and so many faithful pastors are good people who sincerely love Jesus. Sadly, many of them disagree on doctrine and theology. Jesus prayed for unity in the church, so which one has the fullest of truth! The only way you will know is through prayer and going back to the beginning to know if Jesus established a Church. Christianity is not for lazy people. We are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. We are to daily lay down our lives and follow Jesus. I can assure you that you will not find anything that resembles the thousands of churches that grew out of the three main reformers (Luther, Zwingli and Calvin) and their differing doctrinal beliefs. There is one holy Catholic (which means universal) and Apostolic Church ! Read, GK Chesterton, Frank Sheed, Thomas Howard, Marcellino D Ambrosio, Scott Hahn.
Before you say anything about what you perceive to be true, know what you are talking about, not just what you have heard.
God’s peace.

The Catgolic Bible does NOT have 14 extra books, but 7 books, which Luther had removed from the ORIGINAL Bible...which was the Catholic Bible. Your Bible is incomplete, and, therefore, a fslse one
Protestants don't believe ALL of Jesus' teachings ie, John 6 which will codemn Protestants.
