I am a chronic anal fissure patient since 2011. Diltiazem gel is best for anal fissure spasms. LIS can cause incontinence so its better to do fissurectomy (removal of damaged skin) with no long term side effects. Sentinel pile (anal tag), anal papilla and fissure has to be surgically removed in one surgery. LIS should be discontinued.
