No one can understand what Segregation is like until they are there. He’s right I never once saw a bird fly over head. My window looked out just to another unit and the 30mx30mx30m yard was the only escape. The weak end up going crazy and usually will try and take their lives. I e cleaned up after a couple suicides because the guards wouldn’t do it so they would get a segregated inmate to do it… we got a extra tray at meal time. Imagine trying to eat after cleaning up a cell of blood?
There is nothing glamorous about that life. Stay in school, appreciate your loved ones, and make the most of each day in a positive way.

Its a lie that even the California Model is trying to rehab anyone. My dad was a 3 time loser in CA from heroin related crimes. They started a pilot program of inmates in the late 60s who were not violent but tested ok as far as intelligence. They put him through Control Data Institute and took away one of his strikes. He came out an electronics engineer and lived a good life after that. 100% rehabilitated. I will never forget the pride he had when he showed me the paperwork saying he could vote and own firearms again. They ended that pilot program for some reason.
