Not sure about the Saturn port of Hurc’s Adventures but I owned and played it on PlayStation, and I lived in the western part of US
ОтветитьElectronic Arts is responsible for destroying many would be or used to be great games.
ОтветитьObi Kenobi should have been bundled with KOTOR

Lucasfilm Games also released several side-scrollers during the LucasArts era, also entered the console market with several successful games, starting in 1991 with Star Wars for the NES, and following the next year, in 1992 with Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Defenders of Dynatron City. Also in 1992, they released Super Star Wars for the Super NES, with each game based on each of the three films from the Star Wars original trilogy: Super Star Wars (1992), Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1993) and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1994), following with additional titles for the next 3 years. An Indiana Jones game based on the first three films of the franchise titled Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures (1994) was developed alongside Factor 5, the first of many joint collaborations between the two studios.
They also released some games not based on their existing IPs. Zombies Ate My Neighbors (1993) and its sequel Ghoul Patrol (1994) were overhead run and gun side-scrollers inspired by classic 1950's Horror B-movies. A spiritual successor called Herc's Adventures was released in 1997 and was inspired by Greek mythology. Metal Warriors (1995), a side-scroller inspired by mecha anime, and Big Sky Trooper were also developed using the same engine as Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Though these games sold poorly, they later garnered a cult following and are now considered to be Cult Classics from the 16-Bit era.
Fuck Disney for shutting down LucasArts and giving EA the 10 year exclusive license for Star Wars games.
ОтветитьGreat video about my favorite game company. Love the narration
ОтветитьThat was very thorough and well done. Thank you!
ОтветитьEvery time I see that logo, I hear the iconic "*PHONE RING!* LucasArts!" sound in my head. :)
ОтветитьI remember as a kid playing "Behind Jaggy Lines" ermmmmm I mean "Rescue of Fractulas" on my Atari 800
ОтветитьFantastic job, man. Thanks.
Ответитьgreat video
ОтветитьI played almost all Star Wars video games
ОтветитьI remember going to the shop and seeing Shadows of the Empire on N64, the Hoth section and being absolutely blown away
ОтветитьI almost didn't watch this, as I had never heard of this channel before. But I'm glad I stuck with it. There's a lot of good information here, and the script is very nice. I'm learning a lot about some of the very first computer games I ever owned and played. A pleasant trip down memory lane, for sure.
ОтветитьLucasArts were my 2nd favourite publisher after Microprose! But I got pretty much all the games from both of them!
ОтветитьDude. That english......
ОтветитьYou never mentioned trailblazer which i think was a sequel to ballblazer which i actually had a lot of fun with, and i also had Koronis rift, which again was imho prob better than it got credited for, and Maniac Mansion was my fav adventure title of that time,, didn't realize it was Lucasarts as i believe Sierra were the kings of adventure games back then
ОтветитьWonderful video! So well done!
ОтветитьFuck Disney for closing this
Ответитьmovies more automated than amazon
ОтветитьDisney has completely destroyed the Star Wars franchise. As far as I'm concerned the Expanded Universe is the true Star Wars Canon, and the three films Disney made are just bad Fanfic.
ОтветитьAwesome bio of LucasArts 🤩
Now remember there is a letter named H😉
Disney acquiring star wars is the worst thing that could ever happen
ОтветитьShould have paid a speaker
ОтветитьGreat! 👍
Let´s just not talk about Jim Ward...
Great 👍🏼
ОтветитьWhy do you pronounce "hidden" as "eden"?
I also would like to play this thriling game "Full Throttle - L on wheels".
I hate disney
ОтветитьI still can't believe that Disney has shut down LucasArts. It was after all one of the most influential studios in gaming.
ОтветитьThis is a excellent documental. You have a new subscriber, I have to see all tour other videos.Regards from.a PC fan.
ОтветитьYOU'RE THE KING MANN IHVE BEEN WANTING THIS FOR SO LONGG
ОтветитьWow, all this time i thought wrath unleashed was master of monsters 2. Those games were both great.
ОтветитьAwesome documentary!
ОтветитьThanks again for this masterpiece of a video!! Have you heard about the new revival of Lucasfilm Games and how different developers will start making Star Wars games again? I was wondering your thoughts I'd love to see a video from you about that and on more Star Wars games!! I saw you did a Dark Forces review I'd love a review on Dark Forces 2!!! You definitely seem to have great taste in games I hope you do more Star Wars videos in the future!!!!
ОтветитьOne of... if not the best documentary of all time thank you so much for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ответитьand... LucasFilm games is back
ОтветитьLol they actually brought back LucasFilm Games today
Ответитьin the end they should have it rather called Star Wars Arts ,lol
Great docu you put together!
JK and JA were honest pinnacles of multiplayer excellence. That and AvP2. I feel almost no games matches the ingenuity of these since.
ОтветитьI can’t believe that LucasArts was shutdown by Disney!
ОтветитьHey, wot about Humongous Entertainment? It was founded by Ron Gilbert, early Lucasfilm Games ltd. and creator of The Secret Of Monkey Island (and Monkey Island 2, and co-created Maniac Mansion with Gary Wynick).
ОтветитьActually, Chip Morningstar created the SCUMM engine. Ron's contribution was the specification for the language.
ОтветитьEa killed Lucas arts
ОтветитьI loved Thrillville
ОтветитьSomebody mentioned gladius God bless God i wish we would get a remake
ОтветитьSo sad that Disney closed Lucasarts. No other gaming companies formed by movie producers stood on their own for decades the way Lucasarts did.
Ответить
