Is there a way in audacity to record the vocals with effects as they are recording?
Ответитьthanks for your video... very helpful but I'm having a snag when it comes to recording MONO (which is what I want... I'm a new audiobook narrator). I have the new Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4TH Gen, a Sennheiser E835 Dynamic Mic, 2017 Macbook, and Audacity. when I press record to the "1 (Mono) Channel," which is what I want, I get no waveforms, no recording whatsoever (everything is plugged in, correct inputs chosen, and volumes up). It only records if I record on "2 (Stereo) Recording Channel," which is not what I want... how to switch so that the XLR mic (plugged into the XLR port on the back of the Scarlett, which is labeled "Input 2") records to "1 (Mono) Recording Channel?
ОтветитьThanks for the very helpful, step by step, videos. I've been using Audacity to transfer analog audio to mp3 for a long time, but I now want to record directly to audacity and these videos are just what I need.

ОтветитьRecording in the tropics can be horrible...have to blast the air con and then turn it off just before recording and hope the room holds the cool air long enough! I once turned a metal frame for an outdoor green house into a very small seated foam wrapped recording studio, but it was sweltering inside! \(@^0^@)/ Thanks for the tips! illura
