But can it run crysis at 30+ fps?

why it doesn't work: the installation directory is on /install. so, linux mint developer didn't use ubiquity (default ubuntu installer). its made from kdialog. after the "the installation is complete" part, you can reboot, but the installation didnt work.

I know this is an old video. You could have used the command line from the Mint live cd to run parted to repartition the hard drive without having to use Partition Magic. If parted wasn't there, fdisk probably was. Newer live cds often have gparted or some other graphical partition manager. You could have tried blowing away the partition table and recreating it, which is what Mint 2.0 did. Make sure your boot partition, /dev/hda1, has the bootable flag set from the partition manager.

Next time open a terminal and type ls /dev/sd* or ls /dev/hd*. which will list the drives. Newer distros have lsblk whcich gives you a nice overview of installed drives

i have a Windows 7 Gaming PC dell optiplex 7010 with 32GB ram and gtx 1050ti from Nvidia with 4gb vram and a dell optiplex 9010 with 16GB of ram and Garuda Linux on it and than a laptop Dell Latitude E5510 with Linux Mint 21 cinnimon lol

I used to use this LM when Im on college.
They are sweet. Until I switched to regular ubuntu which looks more profesional.
i am interested to revitalize older PCs that still working come 2023 or something but...
Linux's own system requirement also rising as well...
