How are people who refuse to work or to get educated classed as 'working class'? I will never understand these social parasites.

Being working blass doesn't guarantee your way to success one have to make a decision to change its thinking and invest to earn extra income.

We have similar problems in the US. Families producing kid after kid just so they can stay on Welfare benefits & in section 8 housing. Our section 8 is a free roof over your head provided by the government & the housing is usually run down with a cockroach &/or rodent problem. It seems that the western world has similar problems.

I’m not asking this sarcastically. Is there really that little upward mobility in English Society?
Can someone from the working class who is smart and works hard get a good education and get the hell out of there?

Also, it sounds like a discrepancy between people, who can sit still, and other people who can’t sit still, and have zero impulse control

These comments are not great. Some of them I get but ignoring the barriers that lower class people face is not the answer.

It so easy to say get a job but the issue is so much bigger than that! The odds are stacked against them in so many ways before they are even born. The anger has now reached such boiling point that it's affecting the wealthy that we might see programs back in place to level up but they never include the right people.
1. Every single child should have the right to a nutritious meal. The death rate of this social group hardly make it to retirement age!
2. Bring back educational programs to prevent young pregnancies.
3. Give every teen a chance of a trade. A plumber now earns as much a solicitor. Not everyone is cut out academically.
4. Heavily fund police to tackle gangs who are hovering these boys up.
5. Make feckless fathers or mothers responsible for abandoned children but reward. those who do right by their children.
6 Morales showing doing right and being right is rewarded.
This is very basic but when yourve witnessed this first hand you know! Good health and luck to the good ones out there!

BBC always demonising the working class. If they're white, that's even more BBC -esque. They peddle a sick agenda and love to hate their own people. They used to be good. Now they're irrelevant.

No note of the irony in referring to unemployed ponces as the 'working' class. That one guy supporting a family of about 10 the only decent one and I wish him the best. These people act like they haven't got the first clue how to live life and actively choose to be scumbags whilst making ambiguous references to 'lack of opportunity' as though it's an absolute mystery how to get off your parasitic backside and earn a living.

It strikes me that they are highlighting violent criminals - adults on vandalism sprees and children raised not only to sing about but to aspire to rape and murder, and I expect alot more is going on that the same people wouldn't dare to show on camera - and trying to group such people in with the working class. I usually think of these sorts of people as "low class" and "no-class". Really, low class includes the people who live a bit too dirty and are semi-unintentionally rude, so it seems strange to even group these sorts of people in with them.

I think of working class people as the sort of people that, even if they don't have a job at the time, most people would actually want to hire and be around. The sort of people who are accustomed to or have a preference for support-level work, whether broom pushers and laborers or such people nurses and physicians' assistants in the medical professions, or people who make it up to middle management office work, maybe a little higher at the very end of their careers, or even the executive contractor who is really just a top-level construction guy.

This is pure exploitation. Why is the licence payer paying for filming these people, instead of that money providing them with the opportunities they have--several times throughout this video alone--asked for?

True, race has become more of a problem when the system is 'trying to make it better'. There's more focus now due to the wokeness of society on other ethnicities, where now if you're white there's less for you.

A lot of this is undiagnosed ADHD and Autism. They would have been wrote off as disruptive and dumped in PRU’s with other disruptive kids. They just repeat the cycle. It’s sad that in the 4 years they haven’t sorted out the North East of England. Ripped the industry away then told them to make a living. We never see working class lives portrayed. Some of the boys are a bit naughty but its obvious why some kids turn out pissed off. I'm so glad to see working class folk stand up - we need more of this everywhere. But it has to be smart. Being angry is good - but deliberately being violent isn't helpful. I loved these lot in this series.
