Is Lost Ark Beyond Saving?

The main issue I quit was they were banning people from buying gold from a third party, but would happily sell you gold at a much more expensive price. So they weren't concerned with gold buying messing up the game, they just wanted all the money for themselves by eliminating their competitors under their "policy".

I think big problem with Lost ark community is they dont understand the actual issue or dont talk about it. I have had almost 5k hrs in game and i didnt quit because of censorship or skins. I dont give a crap if my character is wearing full hijab or skimpy bikinis as long as game is fun.
big problem with the game is daily grind, gatekeeping, slow party finder and in general how much time the game requires for you to spend. Like if the game required you to spend 30min for daily content and 2hrs per week for raid i would never have quit the game.

why not rotate guardians? every time you enter guardian raid it spawns a random one, then it would be even more interesting to go 2 guardians a day
or they could mix chaos + guardians .. first you go usual chaos and the 4-th gate would be guardian and you get the loot for everything .. 15 min a day for an interesting activity with mighty loot

I enjoyed Lost Ark up until I hit the level 50 xp gain wall. I was willing to put in some extra grind for dailies, weeklies, etc UNTIL I found out you needed other characters to grind on just to level your main(still confusing as hell to me). The world was beautiful and loved finding the little side quests that added to the npcs around(even if tedious at times. Yes, you Seagull 😒). Island hopping and dailing the sea was by far my favorite aspect of it all, but the joy fizzled and hasn't come back 😥

I played this game a year and a half and I loved it but I’m so exhausted from playing it.

You can't have a 1 character gold limit in this game because of how it's set up, there would be overall less people in party finder for raids as the week goes on so it would be harder to fill and what will most likely happen is there will be people that wont be able to do their raids because most people will have done em.

the dude totally missed the point about the chaos dungeon. Gold river did not just say it needs a complete rework. He said initially people wanted to do more chaos dungeon (beginning of season 2) because there was lot of loot. but now those loots have become negligible so they need to work on how to make chaos dungeon more appealing

why are we making these changes when the CCP doesn't want its citizens playing video games anyway. they've got videos of kids being tortured there for playing video games.

This game is unfixable, it's the Korean MMOs game developing mentality. Maybe remove the frigging pay2win systems which are made to ofuscate the player and switch to a subscription based pricing??

In my opinion people enjoy different parts of the game. Chaos, Guardian, and raid are different and should be their own thing that people can do IF they want. Chaos and Guardians should be an activity a players can infinity do if they do wish to farm material, and raids should be used to get new gear/upgrade.

Tbh i used to love lost ark, but stopped playing because the raids felt not enjoyable i wish they added a easy mode where you dont get one shoted and can learn playing blind of course get less rewards. I just dont enjoy rewatching raid tutorial videos 10+ times and trying to remember every small think to do and then look for party that kick you whanever they find out you havent done the raid before... Gatekeeping

Also on lost arks issues I don't understand why it's so hard for them to copy FF14. Even realm reborn content has players because people have roullette and are incentivized to do old content with new players. People enjoy showing off to sprouts in older content. Even Stuff like Coils of bahamut rewards higher end players to go help new players with 100 tomes. Lost ark is a very selfish game. Everything is designed to be as selfish as possible. There is no social aspect to the game and no reason to help new players. You have a ton of checklists to get done each week on 6 different characters and you don't have time or energy to go back and help someone struggling. Its just terrible Game design in long term and now its coming back to bite them.

Just stop making alts a requirement, Peons & 1 shot wipe mechanics. Jesus... its simple

hey dude, just look for a way to get me what i need to write, mostly my PC is a shithole lmao. i need something good to really wham on that keyboard. its flowing so freely and extremely deeply. its not funny the money we get rid of one day. just hook the guy up with a pc that can handle lightning fast typing and hopefully some hobbies when im feeling settled( OSRS and every other mmo thats inspiring as well)

I left lost ark but I think a sensible solution to one of the problems is have 1 chaos dungeon run with a guardian boss at the end

The problem is simply too massive. The amount of variety Valtan quality gameplay that the game needs on a horizontal level is just way too much for the game to be good to play for another 3 years and even more with the current pacing of the game. On top of that revamping the idiotic engraving system and making working gear variety without pumping new p2w mechanics like Alchemy in the game: The problem is just that we need Lost Ark 2 with a new engine too. None of this is simply sustainable

getting to lvl 60 for extra skill point is very annoying

If you look at Genshin Impact, as an example, they do not bombard you with new costumes aka character skins. They make 1 like every 3-5 months and give 1 free (only if you do events when released) and with 1 as an option to pay. Also they do not change or alter how a character looks to an extreme like Lost Ark tends to do. You lose some immersion with Lost Ark skins whereas Genshin the skin fits canonically and does not ruin immersion. I'll stop there but yea, you can make more points too.

Can you people not see the real core problem whit this game 1% honing success needs you to play more alts to feed the main. if they get 100% honing success at every level players would have way more free time to lose on legion raids this is how you fix burnout.if smilegate don't want to do this then they just only care about $$$ and the game is beyond saving they need to have the courage to do drastic changes. or make a new game or stop making games.

the endgame is basically doing a very long and convoluted captcha in order to get your free (tm) lootbox. of course its beyond saving. climb a ladder for long enough and your arms get tired and you dont want to climb anymore, every game is a ladder game now, fatigue is real.
