Hello. It does depend on the paper sometimes. I find it works well on the skin tones and faces etc. But you have to be gentle, don't press hard and scrubble it into the paper.. 😊. I'm still practising and learning.

I’m not there of course but on the camera it looks to me like the blender is much smoother than the white. Thank you for this I didn’t know this product existed.

Wonder what would happen if you put down the blender first

Hi K. I love the blender. It works great. As one commenter mentioned some papers work better than others. You definitely want to use a lighter hand when putting your pastels down otherwise they get scrubbed into the paper and adhere to it and won’t move much at all. It is fantastic on skin and also hair or fur and really good also for sky’s and any background. I put my pastel colors down first and sort of blend them and then put the blender over the areas where I want a smoother blend. Kind of hard to explain but you get a seamless blend. Can’t tell where one color ends and the other begins. Thanks for taking the time to share. Take care and hope your move goes smoothly. They are so stressful. ❤❤

It seems to me the color stays truer and richer with blender and just lighter with the white
