WTF IS THAT SOUND DESIGN

I saw this episode recently. The ending made me cry even though I barely knew the characters. 😭

It is such a strange sound design but honestly I 100% vibe with it. They cooked.

The barrier sounds very fucking cool. Like an EVA angels AT field.

Considering what the Ariel is in context that sound might make sense if you knew what is going on. Tho I have no proof that the sound he the barrier is making is the Ariel itself is wager it being just that. The Ariel is maybe in pain each time it deflects or blocks a beam attack. But yeah the whole show has sounds like this that are super unique and yet sound and feel impactful enough that they COULD exist.

I'm not impressed, same sound as Hashmal's eye Beam canon against Barbatos Lupus. Stop trying to make this anime great. It's not. Trash tbh.

Awesome is what this sound design is.

You can feel the weight of the attacks through the sound alone. Reminds me of Return of the Dark Knight and the Batman v Superman Fight Scene.

Okay, but for real, a clip like this (maybe this same clip) got me to go and watch Witch from Mercury and holy balls was I NOT ready for the rollercoaster of triumphs, excellence, sheer depression, beauty, tragedy, and amazingness that is MSG:Witch From Mercury. 10/10.
