Vancouver really is a city “actor” who plays different cities.

The Evil Spirit took over 20 cities and kept God out of filming in those cities by interfering with the filming to make it a blurry film. It was Mussolini's Evil Spirit as ordered by him. He was not cooperative unless the movie included him as the Bad Guy In The Movies. He had an Ego Trip always to try to control Movies by interfering. God just took the Actors somewhere else away from Mussolini and ignored him as a Bully. He never got credit for any Acting either as he was not going to be acknowledged by God as an Actor for interfering with God's Films. He stopped yesterday at the End of his 100 year War. We had enough of him. He was Darth Vader.

God films on location only. The activity is real at the location where an event is happening. It is History On Film. There is no set or replacement to pose as another city as they claim. The backgrounds are not posed but are real locations in all movies.

No films are done by God in Vancouver as it is Evil Spirit Made with the Evil Spirit interfering with Films. Stanley Park is God created only. The British filmed in Stanley Park. Natalie Helferty Hollywood Royal with God.

The 1994 film "Intersection", with Richard Gere,Sharon Stone, and Lolita Davidovich, was filmed in Vancouver and was SET there too.

I'm starting to understand how you feel as a Glaswegian. I'm not sure if it's a recent push from the local government to get people in for filming, or maybe I've just started noticing it since I moved back here, but either way, I get a weird mixture of happy and sad to see my city in American media. On the one hand, I love Glasgow, especially it's architecture. On the other, it's kind of sad to know 99.9% of the audience will just see buildings in some US city.

I guess it's ultimately silly to be upset by that, but I can't really help it. I'd just like more people to see what I see.

My favorite Vancouver film moment is on a show it actually displayed itself as Vancouver, Continuum. A buddy I know that goes to sets like myself, one day caught them filming in Burnaby, pretending to be Vancouver.... then several hours later, they moved about 5 minutes away, to Vancouver, and that scene was taking place in, you guessed it, Burnaby. Like WHY?

Kinda funny that I am in the middle of reporting all these productions filming here, and somehow never heard about this video organically. Had to learn about it from a geography discord group. Great job.

Front Street is actually in New Westminster, not Vancouver.

Not true: Vancouver played itself in No Clue, starring Brent Butt.

The only film I can think of where Vancouver plays itself is Deadpool. I am sure there are others but as Deadpool the character is Canadian it made sense to set the film there as well.

Watching X-files growing up and laughing as they did NOT try and hide the bus signs, or skytrain, or so much stuff other stuff as long as it didn't say Vancouver. It just sounded and looked like a real city somewhere with a bus labeled " Broadway". The movie "Everything's Gone Green" is the only one I have ever seen filmed and based around Vancouver

Even an Indian superhit movies from 1990s called Pardes was shot in Vancouver. As usual they tried to portray Vancouver as San Francisco 😂
