I live with 2 adult housemates. They are seen nude by the 2 kids. Butt won't let me be nude, which I have been doing for 30yrs. Sleeping nude that is, not in the daytime. Reason- kids might see me! Umm, they see both of you nude, so what message you sending them?

Solitude is something that RARELY IF EVER happens at GROUP (20+ people) clothing optional gatherings of any size other than actual pornographic movie shoots. And then of course there are people that would suggest that the parents of young children would bring their children to a location believing that someone is going to attempt to do those children harm????????

So "we're going to take our children to a location where we can presume that any type of harm is going to befall them because of the exact location we are taking them too"?

There are simply way too many people at GROUP clothing optional gatherings for those people who thrive on solitude to be able to do anything without 20+ people or more doing anything to stop it. And as soon as someone else sees what's going on they can walk up to the "managers of the establishment" (whichever type of establishment it is) and tell the managers that "this person is attempting to do this, or that, or some other damn thing" and then the managers of the establishment can intervene in whatever way they see fit.

People who want to engage in immoral or illegal sexual contact of any kind DON'T COME to places where GROUP mixed gender and mixed age nude recreation occurs because they can't get away with whatever evil thoughts are occurring in their heads.

There are simply too many people there being able to see what each other person in the entire gathering is doing way too much time during the event for anyone person to be able to do anything without SOMEBODY seeing them do it.

Let them get on with it!!!

So glad the controversy died down, and the swims have since gone ahead on a monthly basis without further incident.

They have had these swims for 20 years in Edmonton with No Issues. So has Calgary, but a different club than this one.

Event cancelled at last minute due to Threats of Violence and a Bomb Threat, as reported by CBC. So they have been invited up to Edmonton for our swim. We have been warned that the Media might be there.

Nothing wrong with the event its the fear mongrels who are sexualizing things in this case, not every one sexualizes nudity. People are mindful of risks and supervise their children the same as any clothed event these things have been going on for years with no significant incidents. If one goes to most european countries nude swimming is the norm not the exception. I think body shame is a real issue that causes a lot of problems in society particularly amongst the youth if they are taught not to be ashamed of what nature provided them it could mitigate a lot of issues in development; it is obvious the moral majority simply seeing people having fun in their own way and needs to intervene because it is not fit their narrative of how things should be.

They even have the hot tub in Japan for all ages... (including boys and girls)

The protestors are right, children shouldn't allowed, even adults are doing wrong, but at least they are responsible for their acts in front of God, but children are innocent angels, adults are responsible to keep them safe and sound, and stay innocent angels.

I don't believe there is any more chance of abuse of children in an event like this than a clothed event. Children are vulnerable in the change rooms. Most modernized places now separate adults and children s change rooms.
