Make sure y’all stay till the end for the post credit bloopers! 😂😂
Ответитьis oxygen pro 61keys enough?🤔
ОтветитьI just recently re-watched the M1 MacBook Air video and am considering it vs. a MacBook Pro for a strictly church-owned keys rig. What would you say are the criteria for considering upgrading to 16GB vs. 8GB? Would it only be based on the addition of plugins like Omnisphere or Native Instruments?
ОтветитьI might have missed it, but where did you place the audio interface?
Ответитьi just wanna know how the audio interface works
ОтветитьHi David, Any thoughts about the SL88 Grand? Are the graded keys worth the price difference in your opinion?
ОтветитьHey, David!
Thanks for the video, it really got me inspired. Wish our church had the budget for such an awesome gear update but maybe we'll get there as time moves on. I'm currently using 2012 Macbook Pro (upgraded it to 250Gb SSD and 8Gb RAM) alongside church Korg PA500 (sometimes I think this thing predates the Universe).
A few questions I have in my head:
1. What's the benefit of using powered USB hub? You still plug it into your laptop USB port, right? So it should be getting its power anyway.
2. How did you fix the hub beneath the laptop stand? Double-sided sticky tape?
3. How do you keep Korg Nanokontrol in place? I don't know, maybe it's just me but when I move sliders on my KNK - the whole thing moves along with it. Again, double-sided sticky tape?
Hii... When are we going to get a mainstage and Sunday worship patch for pc 🥺🥺
ОтветитьAnother question, will this type of MacBook also be enough for running background pads along with mainstage?
ОтветитьThanks for the video. It's very informative.
ОтветитьHi David I keep circling back to this video but I can seem to figure this out I just bought a MacBook Pro for my rig at church. When I connect my Nano, Audio Interface, and Midi Keyboard (SL88) into a type c adapter it doesnt register the Keyboard into mainstage. Im not sure how yall connect yours but it would help a lot!
ОтветитьNice 😍😍😍👍👍👍😁✌️!!!
ОтветитьCan one run MainStage and backings tracks with the M1 chip?
ОтветитьThis is great but as a REAL beginner I need to know how everything connects and with what kind of cables! You said yourself “…after some obsessive cable management…” Too obsessed to share? I‘ll probably figure it out but am a bit perturbed that I need to reinvent the wheel. I’m not angry and so appreciate what you HAVE put out there for all the BIC’s buying your product but thought it might be helpful to you to hear a real audio infant’s frustration. I can’t wait to get past the setup stage! My gear is in the Mail as we speak. 🙂
Thanks again for all the info.
Hi David, can MBA M1 run both mainstage and ableton live at the same time with 8gb of ram?
ОтветитьHi David, again just want to ask, is 256gb ssd internal storage could handle storage space if i want to use not only mainstage, but other apps like logic pro, ableton, & omnisphere?
ОтветитьCan the nano controller be used with ableton Sundays key?
ОтветитьDoes anyone know if the sl73 fits the nanokontrol like the sl88 in this video does?
Ответить👍💗🔊🎼🎵🎶🎹💗👏
ОтветитьHi David..do you think the MBA M1 has the same power with the new MBA M2 to run mainstage 3?
ОтветитьWhat's vst or other midi instruments?
ОтветитьWhat audio interface did you use? talks more about the connections used.
ОтветитьHi David this video has been super helpful! Thanks for all you do ive literally watched most of your videos and if it wasnt for those I would have not been able to learn setup our current rig...in my church we are in the process of upgrading our gear as well because our hardware is just too old exactly like this video so I wanted to ask about two things...first we are thinking of getting a macbook pro becase we want to run prime to the in ear monitors and use mainstage for the piano patches so in your opinion should I stick with a pro or would a new M1 macbook air handle both softwares simultaneously?...also we have an old focusrite saffire thats just too old to be compatible with the newer macbooks so I wanted to get your thoughts on getting a presonus VS a scarlett for our rig.
ОтветитьWhere did you guys put the audio interface? I don't see it in the final setup
ОтветитьCan I use any other midi controller that is cheaper or budget friendly and will it work the same way as the sl88? Thank you
ОтветитьYou should mention Gig Performer. There is a 40 minutes video for Worship music.
ОтветитьHey David!
I would like to know how you did to stick the usb hub under the laptop stand? How did you do it?
hey guys, for some reason Korg driver is not installing correctly, what can I do to get it to work? any suggestions>?
Ответитьenjoyed the clip. but this 'build a rig' is familiar to me. However, what would be helpful is showing the laptop/midi controller keys/usb hub/audio interface connection guide - what cable goes where and to what; why. Thank you for all your work.
ОтветитьLooking to get a setup like this for our church, I have an Maudio Hammer 88, would this work in place of the studiologic SL88? The maudio only the Powered USB plugin, i be curious to see how you run the sound from the computer to the speakers.
ОтветитьAny reason you didn't consider a Roland FP-10 or FP-30 in place of the SL88? I hear the action on the Roland PHA4 is better than the Fatar TP-100 stuff that comes in the SL Studio.
ОтветитьHi..David, you included in your list an Anker usb c hub, (100w power ) cannot find here in our local stores a 100w, but instead a 60w, 7 in one anker usb c hub, is it okay?
ОтветитьHi, now that it has been a year more - did you find any beginner piano that will be portable and allowed in economy class hand carry airlines specifically from saudi or canada to philippines ?
I want something to learn with as a beginner and will last a lifetime - same with roland fp30x but I want it to be way lighter - either synth or real weighted piano. Pls help ❤
I am looking forward to buying this piano from saudi arabia.
I just bought roland fp30x from a music store yesterday - but i will return it back because of this video ❤️
I never played piano but I am really willing to learn - I hope someday you make step by step piano tutorials for beginners & I will watch day and night after buying same piano as yours.
1.) One also concern is - if you take this to your gigs - can you use a normal X piano stand to hold it in place while playing? or do you always do need a flat surface?
2.) Changing that built-in battery how hard is it to replace? Is it easily replaceable in any battery shops?
Is that sticky siicon pad should stay in that tray once you put it there? Might get lost its adhesion if being removed from time to time?
ОтветитьWhy not simply get a keyboard synthesizer like Yamaha MX88, Roland Juno DS. eliminates the stand, software, and computer.
ОтветитьHow would I connect the whole rig to front of house?
ОтветитьHey David,
I have all of the equipment, signed up and watched your MainStage Basic Course, but I must have missed how to connect the Korg nanoKontrol2. I'm connecting it through an old Yamaha P250, so it will need to use the midi in and out cables. Do you have a diagram connecting keyboard, nanoKontrol and macbook?
How is the audio interface being used? Is it there in case a mic utilized. Thanks!
ОтветитьPlease tell me what kind of black tape did you use for the cables
