▶ Comparison of Scream 4K (4K DI) Dolby Vision vs 2011 Edition

At first I started it off with the picture mode set as bright, but it looked way too bright and took the dark scary feeling away from the movie. So I put it in calibrated dark mode and it seemed to fix the brightness problem. However, I was curious what mode others have viewed Scream 4K in. I was watching on a Vizio M series…

When I got scream 4k the other day I thought there was something wrong or my picture settings were bad because it is my first 4k film and I wanted it lighter but watching the non 4k version doesn't look as good. Can someone advise me on how to change the background from looking blurry please?

Dolby Vision Dark on my Sony 4k looks particularly great, very natural look.

Saw this at Best Buy just now and immediately came here to see if it’s worth getting.

4k looks much worse and too yellow-green the movie always had a could blue tint

Easy pass as it's not the uncut version.

Is there any release of Scream on dvd/blu-ray disc that will play on a Blu-Ray player? The Unrated Cut version?

The UHD version looks "smoother"... almost as if the 2011 blu-ray version had added sharpening (edge enhancement) in the studio pre release. In fact I'd bet money on that.

Here in my country the 4K version with Dolby vision cost $1.75 USD, thanks apple tv!

Everything looks much softer.

The color palette of the 4K definitely looks better, but it almost looks too soft like they applied a DNR filter. Did you get that impression?

4k looks way more natural, the bluray looks artificial.

Always had such an "artificially sharp" look before, I'm glad that's gone.

HDR is a defo improvement and looks sharper , defo worth the upgrade for a fan like myself
