Hey, it's Lou Bortone. How you doing? As you know, folks are flocking to threads the new app by, , Instagram and Facebook, and I wanted to answer the question, can you post videos to threads? The answer is yes. They can be up to five minutes. Threads, by the way, has a 500 character limit for text posts or a five minute limit on video.

So let's show you how to upload video to threads.

Unlike a lot of other apps, threads does not have a camera function within the app. So let's open threads and show you how to upload from there. So I've just opened threads here. I'm gonna go to my posting, which if you missed it, is this button right in the middle here. And from there I can start a thread and I can type in my text.

But if I want to do a video, then I have to go to the little, , attached button or the paperclip [00:01:00] icon here that's gonna open your photo gallery. And then you can go and find your video in the photo gallery, select it and click add. That's gonna add the video to. Your thread, and then you can click post and it'll be posted just like that.

So that's all there is to it. You can post a video up to five minutes. It has to be from your photo gallery. You can't shoot a video inside the Threads app, so you have to take it out of your photo gallery and put it in as an attachment.
