I'm recreating Atlantica Worlds as a procedural planetary system in Unreal Engine 5.1 using an unreleased version of Voxel Plugin 2.0 Pro. I created my own coordinate system to allow for voxel worlds at astronomical distances. I was able to keep the framerates between 60 and 80 FPS.

I hope we can use AI soon to generate environments based on the 3D meshes of the planets..

What are you using to get the water to blend spherically? Is this a hallow world?

Volumetric Clouds at planet locations, not locked at 0,0,0 like the stock one is. I'm trying to figure that out right now. Either i have to crack open the C++ or write it from scratch. I'm pulling my hair out, well done tho 😂

How did you make unique atmosphers for each planet?

can you compare it to worldscape plugin ? and also share how to implement coordinate system?

Is this made with voxel plugin or worldscape?

Wow that's crazy! What aproach did you use for the planets, and setting the gravity correctly? Did you use the Voxel Plugin?

I want to create a solar system with planets/moons with newtonian physics too but I don't even know where to start lmao. How do you even define space and planets as playable surfaces with gravity/physics in it, orbiting around and such?

at those distances you really want a blink drive option or dimensional portal drive to span the long distances. otherwise your game will be well a waiting sim. from what i understand this is how travel really is anyway out there. even mankind is getting close to understanding it now. so project a 100 more years even for us dumb asses and thats the mode of travel.

Very cool. This wouldn't have been easy to do. The transition from space to planet is so seamless.

I feel like the characters is inspired by Raised by wolves TV programme just because of the sound it makes when thrusting and the movement it makes when casually hovering around.

Any insight into how you did it? You have a version to buy or play with?

To remake everything from scratch must've been very tedious! Will you bring back the city you made in the first version ? :) Or make procedural cities?
