ОтветитьWhy does Mohawk still require vapor barrier for there lvp
ОтветитьHow does LVP perform with in- floor radiant heat?
ОтветитьWow!!! You did an awesome job!! This was what we were trying to find out from the retailer and internet! If you were in NJ, I’d buy right away from you! Thank you! You are an excellent teacher!
Ответить?LVT is made from polyvinyl chloride, or PVC. PVC is hazardous to both the environment and human health.
ОтветитьUmmm… balancing layer anyone? Umm stone polymer - calcium carbonate aka - chalk - not good with water - ummm wood polymer - aka plastic and “wood” not good with water -
Product put in water is a nice trick but zero ambient conditions or alkalinity issues introduced
You mentioned quarter inch gap Lol why? Exactly expansion and contraction - why is that ? Exactly
Flood your house and see how that product reacts.
You’re actually part of the misinformation problem on these products. Customers believe you. As an installer and moisture testing professional, I can tell you these products are a nightmare.
I haven’t even got into the Sun coming in through your French doors and heating these products well over 100 degrees. By the way- zero warranty from the Sun
Purchase at your own risk and buy a product with a balancing layer at a minimum
What is the best brand you would suggest Vinyl
ОтветитьNice explanations. You forgot to mention installing bull nose molding vs. taking out the molding and re-installing it. Also you did not mentions the strength and quality of the attaching mechanisms. A lot of mfg provide weak joints that can be snapped off easily.
Ответитьvery informative, appreciate it;
ОтветитьThis gentleman sold me!!!
Too bad I don't live anywhere near Utah. 😁

ОтветитьBought a house that had brand new LVP back door had a leak and buckled everything. Maybe it’s waterproof to a point but water destroyed my floor quick…
ОтветитьI have old vinyl square tiles (glued on) in my kitchen. I can put LVP over top of the old tiles?
ОтветитьWe’ve had LVP for 11 years and it’s held up great. Most people haven’t been able to tell that it’s not wood.
ОтветитьIs Luxury vinyl plank TOXIC?
ОтветитьBryan you are amazing with your know,edge. A+++++. You convinced us. Thank you so much for explaining the difference. Love it!❤
ОтветитьBest combination of a wealth of information and to the point without making it a 30 minute or longer video like a lot of people do.
ОтветитьBest explanation A++++++
ОтветитьGarbage material
ОтветитьThe truth is, vinyl plank, luxury or not, is garbage.
ОтветитьThanks for a great video, i wish i saw rhis when working.
Another type is a hybrid wpc/spc core. Wpc on bottom so it confirms to the floor and spc on top for regidity. The shaw stuff i have is rated for 1000 psi compression strength, so can take about 700-800 lbs before indenting (the psi rating is usually rated for 10% deflection of material, so usually 70-80% of this will not cause it).
Wpc also has a slighty higher R value and its softness will cause less foot fatigue. Of course its a tradeoff and why commercial is almost always SPC.
