Do the plants eventually die? I decided to do farming and cooking this season and at some point I noticed my plants weren't replenishing or anything. i couldn't get anyone to confirm if they were glitched or not. I did do cooking once slightly years ago without liking it because everything i neededfor recipes wasn't available but this season i actually could and enjoyed it. I wasn't aware about the floor tile trick back then. Didn't occur to me that bears like potatos so if honey isn't available potatos rock

I got some Potato's, and thought I could grow them, as I only have 20 of them off a Treasure Chest. Nope...

The seeds I have seen say things like tropical flesh, tundra flesh etc 😲🤔

Iv never ever played a game where farming is viable for anything
You can quickly harvest most resources and farming is a real grind for very little reward

I'd play the shit out of this game, but that UI... It just gives me so much cancer :( I hope they fix it some day, because this could literally be my #1 game

I tested this the other night and I know this is an older video. But it did make a huge difference when doing the tilling now. I tried it at 0% 10% 20% and 30%

you forgot to mention that it is hard to get fresh water and that many of the islands are arid and there is no rain - and that if you don't grow or find enough veg and fruit that you will die from lack of those vitamins - lol

I have gotten lots of seeds by hand harvesting without trying to get any, 1st from rice and then onward and upward

The water reservoirs actually pull water from the ground now, too. They have either a 50% or 200% bonus to speed pulled from ground(No clue as to what that speed variable is based on) 1 water reservoir pulls about 100 water at 200% in roughly 10 minutes, which is plenty for most farms. No need for any freshwater access or a barrel to catch water, anymore.

Is there any plant that will grow in the polar areas? Also what if I build a building to grow plants inside of a polar region?

Confused on the biome. You obviously aren't on an official server so I doubt if I'm in a Tundra Biome I can just change it to temperate just by placing a wood foundation on a rock?

I've gotten seeds from wild peppers a couple of hours ago while hand harvesting. Maybe the bonus in hand harvesting from survivalism tree affects whether or not you get seeds.

The fresh water issue is the only thing I'm still not sure about. If a place is green enough to dig for water by hand, does that mean you can put that pipe on it and it will pump water from underground? Or do you literally have to find running water or a pond?

Assuming there's no way to plant berries at present time? I have a small set up on a lawless Isle with no berries. Tons of parsley and a few potatoes. I thought I would plant some berries but it looks like no seeds?

Chic Peas must have a HUGE seed drop, cause I got a lot by hand. Bear harvests Berries, Veggies, & Fiber like MAD! I can't wait till they add snapping, or S+ comes to Atlas.

Great video FireSpark81 you can get seeds by hand the rates differ between the plants. Is there a higher max load of the farm plots or is that a thing in Atlas or is it majority the same. I've currently only farmed with large plots due to Ark experience

does farming and cooking make any sense in atlas? becouse i can simply kill myself and respawn very fast and tehrer is no food/water/vitamin problem at all

I'm in a desert, do you guys know if stone resservoir get water from soil if they are on wood floor ?
(i filled them with shovel and jar)

yes ive definetly gotten seeds by hand, pepper seeds are hard to get, wheat ones are really easy, rice too, beans too. i havent tried the rest i think.

Good video, but you are speaking into the wrong location of your microphone, sounds like you are over my head to the right. Could also be a mistuned driver in your headset if you are mastering that way and trying to change your balance to make it sound right on your end. keep up the good work though, Atlas needs more people talking about the mechanics of the game.

The only caveat I have is the water not going down is because it's being constantly irrigated by the pipes. A true test on how fast the water goes down would be to break the pipes OR stare at the stone container, not the crop plot.
